to Creature 218. I understand your frustration at the choice for them to make Godzilla a mutant lizard. But this design KNOCKS the shit out of the original on many level. Just pretend that this Godzilla is a dino and forget about him being a lizard.

I actually like the American version better, but Godzilla is just awesome in general. I liked the animated series because they made Zilla a hero, If I could I would be his friend ^^

Gino?! Who's Gino? The makers of the original Godzilla actually labeled him Zilla as they "took the 'god' out of Godzilla". The actual Zilla would be Zilla Jr who not only had more bulk on him but actually could fight with Godzilla as this one can take far more punishment than Zilla and could actually use the Atomic Breath.

I agree; I like the 'American' design of Godzilla better. It is more like an animal with animal instincts, rather than just randomly attacking cities. (Or just Tokyo...)

For me being a HUGE godzilla fan the movie sucked. But now years later I like it a bit. It should just be named differently because its not really the godzilla they got the rights for.

The people who made Godzilla actually dubbed this version as Zilla because Tri-star "Took the 'God' out of Godzilla." Honestly Zilla Jr is a better Kaiju then Zilla.

Freaking epic! I have to agree with you that while it isn't the classic Godzilla, I like the American design much more since it obviously isn't a guy running around in a rubber costume. Your eye for detail and knowledge of color is superb!
