Description
Since Windows Vista, the classic Shutdown dialog is accessible only with the help of a hotkey. You have to minimize all windows, then click to focus on the Desktop and finally press Alt+F4 to make it appear. Instead, Microsoft offers you an expandable submenu for the “Shutdown” button in the Start Menu of Windows 7 and Windows Vista. Things have changed for the worse again with Windows 8: no more Start Menu, no more quick access to Shutdown functions. So I going to share the simple script which displays for me the familar classic Shut Down Windows dialog. No additional software is required. Please read:How to create a shortcut to the Shut Down Windows dialog in Windows 8, Windows 7 and Vista

open notepad and type this:
(new ActiveXObject("Shell.Application")).ShutdownWindows();
save as shutdown.js (take care to select all file types on the save window, otherwise it'll be saved as txt)
now create a shortcut to the js file and you're done
If you get an error, replace the double quotes with standard ASCII double quotes (just retype them and you're good)
