From time to time. They are expensive and very time consuming so I rarely do them except for the occasional custom order.

I can imagine you making a dotanuki (a tougher katana) with a thick blade.

It was a custom order. Customers picking it up in about half an hour. I have the original molds and can recast the hilt easy enough to make another one.
