I decided to take Levi to my home country, which was a few miles away. We traveled those few hours to see my parent. They were disappointed with the fact that they couldn't make it, due to work and trying to saver every penny at the last minute since they were informed at the wrong time. Those couple of hours seemed to drag on forever, but then I realized we were at our wanted destination. I could see in Levi's eyes and the way he was breathing that he was really nervous about meeting my parents for the first time.

"Baby, calm down. It'll be okay." I rub his right arm since I was by his right side anyway

"Don't pester me with how 'everything's gonna be okay' and shit." his breathing was still all over the place

"Ya know, you better watch your language 'cause my mom doesn't like that kind of talk in her household." I said mimicking my own mother

"I'll try but I can't guarantee anything, so don't expect too much from me. But I will try my best."

"Alright. Ya ready?" I knock on the door slowly, casually

It was a surprise because someone answered immediately as soon as I finished knocking

"{Name}!" She ran up to me and held me in a tight embrace while she was steady kissing both of my cheeks

"Mom! I know I haven't visited in a few months, but goodness gracious Mom! Show some mercy on my bones! Your crushing them!" I tried to breath, but it was hard because she was litterally squeezing the life out of me

"This must be your husband that you just married. Hi, I'm you mother-in-law. Forgive us for not being there on your wedding day, we were notified at the last moment, {Name}!"

"I'm sorry, Mom. I was worrying about my big day. Other member in the family could have told you."

"Young lady don't have that kind of tone with me! I was there changing your smelly diapers when you were a baby."

"Mom!"
