Description
Done in a variety of ring sizes with 16 and 18 gauge bright aluminum, using mostly variants of European 6-in-1, Dragonscale and Celtic Visions. Some day there will be a full chess set, one side in aluminum and the other in brass, of course with a matching board. However, that day is likely a long way off.

A chainmaille chess set! With all the bags and neckties in chainmaille, I thought I'd seen everything- how wrong I was!
Fantastic idea, and beautifully made- a full set would be so difficult to make, but such a great thing to have, especially if it's all this quality. Excellent work.

Thanks for the compliments.
I'm actually not the first to do this. David Austin made a rather impressive set a few years ago (which you can find at [link] ). I'd like to think my set is a bit fancier, but that's just because I have his example to improve upon.
This man is, BTW, probably my biggest idol in the craft.

That's amazing.
Are they solid to the touch, or do they cave in slightly?

The rook is the only one that isn't completely solid. But it doesn't cave it, since it would have nothing to cave in too. Rather, it stretches vertically a bit if you life it up by the parapets.
