Description
And this is how I discovered that the problem I've been having with Photoshop for the past year and a half...never actually existed.Edit: Try not to pay too much attention to the BG. He's lucky to have one at all.

Just sit back... relax... oh, and ignore all the drooling fangirls hacking into your webcam for a glimpse. Believe me, life will be much simpler if you do.

Maybe it was like an auto-fav thing where you just saw it and clicked. Or accidentally dragged it.

Thanks, but I didn't draw him in the movie style, which is why you might think he's too beefy.

I love it! Although maybe the hips are a little to big? He has really small hips in the movie. Just a tip for the future^^

Thanks and thanks for the tip. I drew him in a more realistic style than he appeared in the movie, so his hips are meant to be a bit wider. If I do ever draw him in the movie's style, I'll make sure to keep his hips narrow.

Am I crazy if I thinks he looks hot in this picture? He's 'evil' and blue!
This goes to favorites.

Nah, I thought he was attractive in the movie (I don't want to say I find him that way in my own picture). Of course, I was aiming for him to be attractive even in body language.
Thanks.

Awesome. The pose is so natural and the gleam of that cape is gorgeous.
(He should use the Mechasheva strategy X3 )

Now I'm curious. What's the problem you're talking about?
Oh this is a good picture.
Oh, just read the thing, Sharktopus made me laugh but Mecha-Sheva made me totally guffaw! "Mecha-Sheva! Mecha-Sheva! Mecha-Sheva!" XD XD XD

The problem with photoshop? It was actually a problem with Windows Picture Viewer not being able to handle the high resolution shading on dark images. The full story is in a response to DragonsLover1 if you're more curious.
And thanks! I don't think I originally thought that the plans in the BG would attract quite as much attention as they do. It's funny though. Makes me laugh to see how many people actually got the references.

Ah yes. I read it. Thanks. Glad that's all it was. I never would have thought of that. 0_0 What resolution do you do your pictures in?
And yes, people love digging into a background and gleaning what they can, especially pop-culture references. Speaking of pop-culture references, Doc Hammer (creator of the Venture Brothers) has an account here on DA. He's never on it but he's got some beautiful paintings up.

Usually 150 ppi (which it doesn't have quite as much difficulty with). This time (and on my nicer pictures) I use 300 ppi. And I set the sizes up by inches 5x7 or 7x5.
I've seen his account, it is beautiful.

Wow 300! I've never used a resolution that high for anything before! The highest I think I've used is 200 (which is what I usually use and then just post it with a lower quality)

HiddenMutation In reply to creastorm [2010-12-10 00:33:31 +0000 UTC]
I've found that 300 is the only way I can draw with lines as delicate as I want them. So when I want to clean up my lines a lot, I move up from 150 to 300. Then I save it as a PNG and post it.

I can certainly understand that. I may not produce a lot of super high quality stuff, but I still want the most control over my line-thickness that I can. That's why I usually draw my pictures with 200 dpi. But I never really thought of saving as a PNG to post. What a good idea. Higher quality, smaller size.

I don't produce much with super-high quality. That and a couple other pictures make it up that high.
I've noticed that PNG files seem to give me better quality than JPG copies.

I've used PNG for avatars. Sometimes when shrinking down a bigger drawing you loose a lot of quality to get down to a small enough file size but when I save as png I can do it. But I've never actually done it for a picture picture.

His background is awesome. Nearly as awesome as his lackadaisical pose.
