Haven't seen the movie yet, though. I heard it doesn't meet expectations :/ Damn, I want this movie to be awesome!I mean, the concept and prodcution value alone seem epic from what I saw in the trailers...

I wouldn't trust, too much, the naysayers of Prometheus, I, for one, love it. I like your art. But, it's disheartening and very tedious, for me to realize, that most artistically inclined folks are galvanized by the same old same old. I keep seeing the same old stuff here at DeviantArt.

I heard that the big problem with Prometheus was that it wasn't supposed to be connected to the alien franchise. At least, that's not what the people who wrote the story wanted. They were forced to shoehorn it in there by the other people involved in the movie.

dude seriously I'm getting bruises on my chin now the amount of times my jaw drops at your work. this is just excellent and very focused the subject is clear and the lighting perfect my only addition would be to maybe grass, vegetation or something in the foreground, cause Im unsure if this is a fly-by or preparing to land.

Hi sir, I wonder if it was intentional subjectivity of the image? Sorry if the question seems βpejorative β, but looks like a penis fertilizing, seeding a vagina?! This ship seems that will couple/copulate with Prometheus ship as a symbol for mating!So, the βsymbolismβ was intentional?

This is a great painting, really nice job. I have to say the movie met my expectations seeing it was a 'prequel' to the alien movies, and if you watch this film, then go back and watch Alien (first movie) you can make connections from that and Prometheus and if your a bit of a movie/sci-fi geek in that aspect I'd say it was worth it but to each there own.

It was a fun movie, It does meet one's expectations if your not looking for it to be an Alien(s) movie and a stand alone Sci-Fi flick that makes pine for more and make you think instead of just sitting through mindless explosions. Also I like the art work you've got here its very nice.

Just watch it for the film's cgi effects..

Damn good job!
As for the movie: Just don't be expecting a masterpiece like ALIEN or Blade Runner. It is a good standalone movie, people are just coming down harder than usual on it because they are holding Ridley Scott to such high expectations.
In regards to unanswered questions in the movie: Ridley Scott says this will be a trilogy, so give him the benefit of the doubt that things will be resolved in sequels.

Well I live in the UK and went to see it 2 nights ago...to be honest it was a disappointment. Didn't live up to the hype at all.
If you seen the trailer you have literally seen EVERYTHING this film has to offer...the trailer is basically the entire film condensed in under 3 minutes. The film has nothing else to show you.
I waited nearly 30years for this film, I wanted to love it so much but I am so frustrated by the huge holes and dumb decisions they made

Well, IMDB says 8.3 rating right now, days before was on full 9, but it's still enough to think it's a high quality motion picture, I really hope it's gonna be awesome, going to see it on 7th.

well,regardless,I'am going to go see this film... In my youth,me and my brother viewed the original Alien,it was very impactful(scared us sh*tless!!!)!!! The first two films,are outstanding(I liked the third's handling of the creature,but I felt the story was weak)... I loved the first Ped/Alien team-up ,but the end sucked(the second Ped vs Alien reeked)... the last Alien was awful(a Ripley clone,ugh!!!)!!! Good Luck,w the competition,Bamf!!!

Well it's not an M. Night Shyamalan movie, so it should (in theory) be better
then what the trailers are leading fans/movie goers to believe their going to see.
From all of the information that I've gathered it's not exactly a prequel to ALIEN,
it's a total rewrite that is loosely based on the two sequels but it should not be
compared to the iconic characters that we know. For instance the characters in the
original movie ALIEN won't be the same, or at least not in the way that they are known
to the fans. The only names for sure that will stay the same (so far) are Weyland & Yutani.
The planets name, LV-426 will most likely remain the same as well.
The movie had been rewritten (a little) by Damon Lindelof a writer of the series LOST,
who of course is a major fan of the original and of the Alien franchise.
There is a lot of speculation of course as to what the next movie after this one will reproduce.

Nice. Composition and design is astounding. I like how you kept the sky simple, helps make the ship stand out. The glare is also a nice touch, doesn't steal the viewer away.
