“You already know about the inside of my lamp.” Sami continued his story. “But back then, it was just a bare, blue room. No furniture at all. However, I didn’t stay long inside my new home, as Mardita rubbed the lamp. I was sucked outside again and found myself in front of the witch. I was furious and tried to unleash my magic on her, but instead I felt a terrible pain caused by the bracelets.

‘I wouldn’t try that genie! You’re now my slave and the bracelets won’t allow any disobedience. I’m the ghost tamer Mardita but you will call me Mistress!’ the witch told me. Strangely I felt forced to obey her command and asked her ‘Wh.. What do you want, Mistress?’

‘You will grant me any wish I state, Genie!’ she said.”

“Wait a second!” Martha interrupted. “I thought you grant only one single wish?”

“It all depends on how many wishes you are used to wish for. You grant your masters three wishes, right?” Sami asked.

Martha nodded: “For my first Master, I granted many wishes more. But my second master, or rather mistress, asked me if she got three wishes. I thought this was a good idea and I stuck with this number since then.”

“Then it's three wishes that you are used to granting, now.” Sami replied. “Actually, your lamp forces you to grant only one wish. And with much effort, you can force yourself to grant less than three wishes. It will hurt you a lot, but it’s totally worth it to be forced to grant only one wish.”

“Err… thanks! But I think I will stay at three wishes. I’m pretty happy with this number.” Martha replied. “But please, continue with your story.”

“Alright!” Sami continued his story. “’Now listen for my first wish, Slave!’ Mardita said. ‘Teleport us and every item I carry with me to the next oasis.’ I tried to resist but I felt a terrible pain and granted her wish. A blink of my eyes later, we were standing at the edge of an oasis. Here, Mardita ordered me to return to my new home.
For the next few hours, I didn’t know what was happening until Mardita summoned me again. She was bargaining with a man to buy a camel. “This man refuses me a decent price for a camel.” Mardita told me. “Genie, I wish that you turn him into a camel himself!” Of course I didn’t want to do it. I felt pity for the man, who was holding his arms in front of him as if they provided any protection. But again, I felt a big pain from the bracelets. So, I fulfilled her wish and turned the man into a dromedaryl. Mardita also took a saddle from the man’s house and prepared the new dromedary for voyage.

‘May I ask where we are going to…?’ I asked Mardita. She didn’t respond but stared at me with evil eyes. “Mistress?” I eventually added.
‘I’ll tell you slave! We are going to Memphis, the capital of Egypt. I have business there.’ She answered.
‘What kind of business, Mistress?’ I continued to inquire.
‘That’s none of your business, Slave! Now back into your lamp!’ she commanded. And so, I returned to my lamp once again.”
