About 20 Minutes later, Gregory returned to the lobby. Not very surprisingly, only Sylvia was sitting there.

“Has Monsieur Poulin returned?” the secretary asked.

“His stuff is nowhere near. It seems he has gone.” Sylvia replied.

“Allright, I’ll inform Monsieur Sprüngli.” The secretary replied. “It will take just a minute.” Then she walked off.

Gregory hurried to remove Sylvia from the competition too.

“It was a nasty move to spill the coffee over my pants.” Gregory spoke to her.

“Listen, it wasn’t intentional. I was just nervous ok? And you still got your chance, right?”

“Right? Nothing’s right!” Gregory replied angrily. “But I’ll set things right now!
Martha, I wish for you to turn this cheating woman into a potted plant to decorate the lobby.”

Again, Martha was forced the grant that wish, even as she hated Gregory for his cruelty.

When Martha’s magic hit Sylvia, she felt as if her body was twisted inside out. Around Sylvia’s feet, a flower pot appeared. Sylvia felt a cool, wet rush crawling up her legs, as her skin and clothes turned into bark. Next, Sylvia’s body began to shrink and to twist. By an invisible force, Sylvia’s arms raised. Her fingers sprouted into little palm leaves, while her legs fused into a little stem. Finally, leaves spread from her fingers and also her hair turned into leaves. When all was done, Sylvia had been transformed into a little potted palm tree.

When the secretary returned, she wondered where Sylvia has gone.

“If she only knew, that Sylvia is just a few feet away!” Gregory though and glanced at the rubber tree next to the table. Then he explained: “She got a phone call and left on a short notice. It seems that she got a better offer.” He lied.

“It’s up to monsieur Sprüngli to decide. Since you are the last applicant left, you can come with me.” The secretary answered. As Gregory followed her, he knew that he would get the job for sure.

EDIT: I was never really content with this picture. But this weekend, gave me an important hint on placing three characters in a picture: The pyramid form. I used it on this picture and now, I'm happy how it turned out.
