Description
NOTE: I used cinema 4d R7 for this tutorial.Hey guys, I planned for this one to be a short short video, but I kinda extended it as new things popped up in my head. Basically its for those of you who are completely new to Cinema 4D's interface. It's very useful and should be a piece in your toolkit when you model stuff.

there should be a demo, so what kind of 3d stuff did you do or would you like to do, almost everyone has one goal, mines was 3d cars and scenes that fit sports cars being rendered in.

i've tried to make future things, but it never looks right, always looks like a train, like the underground ones in japan and such...lol..

Oh sounds interesting
yup with modeling one takes a long time to get something right, when i make a boo boo and need to render, I often hide it by having something in front
Hmm i think i will visit your gallery and see your stuffies

i do the same thing, like in the CRX render, you can see the fire hydrant, how its sort of ghosting into the other image, in the escalade render, i put two in there, to hide the water hydrant and the other to block the image warp from blending the two images for the background.

hehehe yup thats one problem of 3D hehehe , with me when using figures, such as doing a sensual piece of art, its so hard to put the figures, that the dont stick into each other like siemese twins!! lol
I often seen clashing meshes in computer games, and sometimes spoils the game play a bit. virtual realism just goes out the window,lol..
Yup it is tricky sometimes and several draft renders, adjustments are needed to get lighting , objects etc just looking right.

Man, that is a nifty Tutorial, i allways wondered how Optimize is supposed to be used.
But can you limit Optimize also to a selection? That would be awesomely handy then..
Thanks for this Tutorial!

yeah you can limit it to a selection of either points, edges, or polygons, i do it to whole models when i freely distribute my cars from time to time, like i'll connect all the pieces into one mesh and do an optimize with a rather large threshold so that it welds panels and a lot of points together, and im sure you can understand the reason for doing that.

tell me about it, do it to your models that you imported into c4d from zmod...you'll wreck them as the parts that are not connected in the HB mesh will all become one.....you'll freak out!.
