If you do, then I'm sorry if you are offended on any level, but as I've stated, this is a post as to why I personally dislike this shipping, not why you should as well. It's like someone said on my MLP Ships I Don't Like Meme; it's a double-edged sword.
Of course, if there is anything you think I missed in the post, I'll be glad to add to it. I feel that regardless of the outcome, it'll be interesting if some people can think about it in a more critical light. But if it all goes wrong... well, excuse me whilst I hide behind a very flammable bush.

If their relationship had been given some exploration beyond what we were given, I'd have given it a pass, but the implications left behind still leave a sour taste I can't wash off... -_-

Yeah, you do make a point. In theory, the pairing could of worked, but they was lacking things. I know the series is also about friendship (just like MLP), but still. Giving them development is really going to hurt?

Like I said, I feel it's down to poor planning. Someone commented that they could've had a brief argument after Flash proves Princess Twilight is innocent and I think that would've worked really well.

I understand because in the EG Sunset said she never love with Flash so i think Sunset said like that because Sunset have love story with another character just like King Sombra in MLP comic King Sombra have love story with Radiant Hope.

The first Equestria Girls movie should've had Flash and Sunset moments. Whenever I see that scene of Flash clearing Twilight's name in Luna's office, I picture him being confronted by Sunset who berates and mock him for his tiny act chivalry. Flash would tell her to back off and leave Twilight alone, and Sunset would promise something awful if he interferred again. Flash promises that he'll support Twilight because, like him, she's not afraid of Sunset.
Sunset would then again mock him by telling him that Twilight is not who he thinks she is, and that any hope he has about being with her is impossible. Flash wouldn't care. As long as Twilight is made princess instead of Sunset, it would be all that really mattered.
Flash and Sunset's past relationship created such an interesting scenario, it is a real crying shame it was never developed in the movie. It would've made Flash's interest in Twilight have some real purpose to it instead of it just being a love at first sight moment. Especially considering the fact that Twilight was the one having a crush on him. That part about them was far more interesting.

Yeah, and when they finally had Flash and Sunset interact... they gave us nothing they couldn't have done with other characters.

After all that talk about getting over Twilight and starting over as friends in LoE, Sunset instead hangs out with Sci-Twi at the dance and is happy about her and Timber. After all the hints and clues the movies have given about their "relationship", Sunset wronged Flash in quite possibly the cruelest way imaginable. I may like her character, but her chemistry with Flash REALLY needs to be sorted out. The short "Good Vibes" is hopefully the first real steps towards such a moment.
The only thing that worries me the most now, is that the Writers are going to blame Sunset's past actions on Flash. That Flash dumping her was the reason she became a villain, just like how Sunburst leaving Starlight caused her to become a tyrant. I really hope that's not what they are going to do

What they did with their chemistry was really poor... but then again, LoE was poor from the beginning. I also never really bothered with "Good Vibes" - most ironic title ever! - or anything related to EG post-Mirror Magic; the aforementioned music video only strengthens my resentment toward them as a couple.
Oh, I hope they don't do that... but then, I could probably care less about the direction EG's gone.

I think the crux of the issue stems from the fact that the only thing EG has ever really done with Flash was make him the token love interest. He's in a band named after himself; let's not do anything with that! He was a victim of the Sirens and made to lash out when he didn't mean it; just shrug it off! He's apparently a nice-guy rebel with a muscle car; let's not explore how any of that works at all!
He's the only ethnically diverse character in the whole EG universe! [Actually, lets not address that, considering his pony counterpart is yellow...]
Despite how cookie-cutter and Disney Channel generic he can seem, there really is quite a bit to unpack where he's concerned; imagine him being the only member of the main group to not have any magical powers yet still find ways to be just as effective as the rest of them! He could be the Batman of the group, so to speak.
Who knows? Maybe pairing him with Sci-Twi could actually work to fix her character, or at the very least make the EG series focus on just Shimmer and maybe also Flash, but have them work with a sort of 'friends only' dynamic and stick with it [or AT THE VERY LEAST build up some things between them to have in common...] it could be sort of a buddy-cop dynamic where you have a male and female cop working together, but instead of busting criminals, its these two stopping stray magic [and no, in female/male buddy cop series, not all of them end with the two in a relationship]

Yes. I think you're right that Sunset should forget Flash and go back to Equestria where she belongs. But, it's not our story and I doubt Hasbro would listen. Then again, fandoms are imposible to be taken seriously.

I'm in the camp who think they should become friends and only friends(and am still holding out for SciFlash. Fite me).
You did raise some good points and explained pretty well what the issue as to why the Everfree bits irked me so much(bar the obvious).
However, I don't see the possibility of them getting back together due to Sunset's popularity and Flash's lack of popularity. Hasbro loves to please/pander to the fans as much as possible and having them become an item again would piss more people off than it would make happy.

I, too, would accept that they stick to being friends. But, as far as we've remembered, Sunset is still a pony inside the human body. A pony in love with a human would be crossing the line and we can tell how FREAKED out the brony fandom would be if that happens. But I'm positive Hasbro won't allow that since it's meant for kids to watch.
