Description It was an average Friday at Grand Cauldron Academy, classes were about to end and, to the delight of the students, the weekend was about to begin.

However, before any classes ended for that day, a message came on the school's intercom from the Physical Education instructor and head sports coach, Agatha Clawdeen.

"Good afternoon studens," Coach Clawdeen started, "I require the following students to meet with me immediately after classes: Louise Oranha, Annalise Otohollan, Kaana Sirhiss, and Jane Deus. Please meet me in the gym after the bell has rung, and do not dilly-dally, this is important. Thank you."

The bell then rang, dismissing all of the students to any after school activities, and during this time, Louise Oranha was gettig herself a quick snack at the cafeteria before heading over to the gym. There, she was startled by a familiar voice that crept up behind her in an unsurprised tone.

"You know you were told not to dilly-dally, yet you decide to come hear to eat. I swear, Louise. You are almost as bad as Natalie when it comes to food."

Louise then turned her head to see Jane Deus standing next to her with crossed arms and an expression that fit her voice tone perfectly.

"Oh I know that your vice housemaiden is way worse that me when it comes to food." Louise said as she picked up her back back and took a huge bite out of a banana. "Besides, last I checked I still eat way healthier than her."

Jane groaned and gave an eye roll before gesturing to get moving. As they walked to the gym, they saw Annalise Otohollan standing in the hallway, and, per usual, she looked confused while scratching her head furiously. Louise and Jane exchanged a glance before one of them called out to her.

"You lost again, Lissy?" Louise yelled, catching the attention of Annalise.

"Oh! Louise! Jane! It's you!" Annalise called back in relief, "And yes, it appears I have gotten lost in the halls again."

"Where is Olivia?" Jane asked as Annalise walked up to join them. "Isn't she supposed to be by your side in case you get in situations like this?"

"I let her go back to Eleanor because I was called on my own." Annalise said in slight embarrassment. "I guess I overshot my confidence when it came to my sense of direction, since I'm lost again."

"Aww, don't you worry, Lissy." Louise said as she patted Annalise on the shoulder. "You can follow us since we're going same place."

"Yeah, just make sure you stay close to us." Jane said as she started to walk off.

After a few minutes, the three girls got to the gym to see Coach Clawdeen and Kaana Sirhiss waiting for them.

"Sorry we're late!" Annalise said as they entered the room.

"We would've been here sooner if it weren't for these two holding us up!" Jane said as she walked ahead and joined her dorm mate.

"That's enough!" Coach Clawdeen said as she gave a clap which echoed around the empty gymnasuim like a gunshot. "Now that you all are here I can say. Congratulations!"

"Congratulations for what, exactly?" Kaana said with a small head tilt.

"You all have been chosed to join me for a private hike to find something that has appeared a few days ago near the campgrounds here on Sororcery Isle!" Coach Clawdeen said in a boastful tone.

"Ooh! Like a tresure hunt?" Annalise said in excitement. "What are we looking for?"

"I am glad you asked, Miss Otohollan!" Coach clawdeen said as she put her hands on her hips. "We are looking for a rare, magical traveling ramen shop which appears in different locations randomly and stays in that same location until it runs out of ingredients. Once it has no more ingredients, it dissapears to a new location to both restock and repeat the process. The shop is called Nabewari, known for it's specialty nabewari udon soup."

"What?" Jane said in skeptical disbelief. "H-how do you even know so much about this place?"

"I have been told about this place by all of my old adventuring buddies for years." Coach Clawdeen said. "And I heard the confirmation from the Siamese twins that it was here."

"Then why invite us?" Louise asked. "Why not go by yourself since you've known about this place for years?"

"I simply thought that this may as well be a once in a lifetime opportunity, so why not invite some students to witness it and have them stretch their adventurous minds past the walls of the school campus." Coach Clawdeen replied.

"This sounds rediculous." Kaana Sirhiss said with a raised eyebrow.

"In theory, it may, but I made sure to do research before making this descision, ladies." Coach Clawdeen said as she grabbed some papers that she handed out to the girls.

"What is all of this stuff for?" Jane asked as she looked at the Coach's handout.

"It is your equipment and and dress requirements, of course!" The Coach replied. "You will need all of it before we start our hike bright and early tomorrow morning!"

"WAIT A MINUTE! TOMORROW?!" The four girls shrieked in horror.

"Yup, we will start our hike tomorrow morning at seven o'clock sharp!" Coach Clawdeen said. "So make sure you are prepared, eaten a hearty breakfast, and ready to meet me at the school gate then! Meeting dismissed!"

"She's making us wake up early on a weekend?" Jane said in frustration as she started to squeeze the handout in her hands. "Ugh! I was so ready for a weekend to veg out!"

"I understand your frustration, Jane." Kaana said as she took off her sunglasses to rug her eyes. "Like trying to go to bed early wasn't already a problem for me..."

"Come on guys! I think that this could be really fun!" Annalise said as she finished reviewing her hand out. "You know what leave the common supplies for your backpacks to me! You guys just worry about your outfits and personal belongings!"

"Thanks, Lissy, but don't you think that, due to you're forgetful nature, you'll have some trouble?" Louise said in concern.

"Relax guys! I do this all the time for the Wilderness Exploration club. I'll just have one of my other club members come and help me evaluate everything at the end and will drop them off at your dorms when I am finished!" Annalise said as she stuffed her hand out into her backpack and immediately started texting her club group chat.

"Well, good luck, and make sure not to stress yourself out too much!" Louise said as she saw herself out.

"I hope she's right about that." Jane said to Kaana as they walked out of the gym.

"Let's just hope that whatever she forgets, it won't be important to us." Kaana whispered back.

The very next morning, Coach Clawdeen stood by the gate, tapping her foot impatiently as she looked at her watch. She then gave a relieved sigh as she saw her four selected students approach.

"Good morning, Coach!" Louise said as she finished eating a banana and throwing it behind her into a nearby trash can.

"Morning Coach!" Annalise Otohollan said in a perky tone, following closely behind.

"Ugh! Morning Coach!" Jane said as she carried a half-awake Kaana on her back before flinging her off as she reached the gate.

"Oof! Hey!" Kaana said in pain as she raised her planted face from the ground. "You coud have told me when we were here you know!"

"Thank you ladies for arriving here at the time requested!" Coach Clawdeen said in a bombastic tone. "I hope you are ready to hike!"

"And I hope this isn't a waste of good time and energy..." Kaana said quietly as she lifted herself from the ground.

"I personally think this is going to be a lot of fun!" Louise said as she straightened her hat. "Also thanks again for getting all of our supplies, Lissy!"

"No problem, though I was confused about one of the items." Annalise said as she looked at the handout again.

"You mean these?" Coach Clawdeen said as she handed out a bottle to each of the girls. "These are your last item, a liter of spring water from this location."

"Why do we need it though?" Jane asked as she and the other girls shoved them into the outer pocket of their backpacks.

"Because it has been said that the shop won't serve anyone who dosen't bring one of those to it. Without the water they won't be able to make the soup." Coach Clawdeen replied.

"Right." Kaana said in a very skeptical tone. "Well, are we ready to go yet?"

"Not just yet." Coach Clawdeen said as she shifted her eyes to Jane. "We are going to take a group photo first! So everyone gather to my sides!"

"Fine, let's just make it quick!" Jane said as she grabbed the camera she uses for the gazette and used her magic to suspend it in mid air.

She then set a ten second timer and ran to the rest of the group. Everyone grabbed their springwater bottles at the Coach's request, and it took the picture. They then soved the bottles back into their backpacks and lined up at the gate.

"Alright everyone!" Coach Clawdeen called. "HERE WE!"

"GO!" The girls called back in unison.

With that they were off, starting their Noodle Quest.

Thank you for reading the start to my next Grand Cauldron Academy Event! I hope to see you all in the rest of the parts when they come out! See you there!
