Description

After the group got their food, they decided to reconvene outside the shop to both eat and talk about what happened.

“Hahaha! Well look at that! Your quick thinking allowed you to use Locus Pocus to find me!” Coach Clawdeen said heartily after the girls recounted their situation.

“Well it was really all Louise’s idea to use the spell in the first place.” Annalise said as she gestured to Louise with her chopsticks. “She was the one who remembered it.”

“Well we probably wouldn’t have used it if it weren’t for you using your own spell to communicate with me and Jane, Lissy.” Louise said after swallowing a mouthful of ramen.

“Hey, don’t forget me! I was the one who was talking about trying to get in touch with you guys in the first place!” Kaana said before taking a bite.

“You girls all did a great job finding my location in my absence.” Coach Clawdeen said as she finished her bowl. “I say that you all very well deserved this lunch!”

“Speaking of finding you. Where did you go after Jane blinded us with her flash on the trail?” Louise asked as she pointed to Jane with her thumb.

“This again, Louise!?” Jane said as she put down her bowl and gave a frustrated sigh. “But seriously Coach, how and why did you leave us like that?”

“Yeah, it was almost like you disappeared when Jane’s flash went off.” Annalise chimed in as everyone turned to look at their coach.

“I guess this is as good a time as any.” Coach Clawdeen started as she put her bowl on her lap. “Did any of you notice me talking on the phone while taking our break at the Testing Center?”

“We did.” Louise and Jane said as they raised their hands.

“How come you brought your phone but we couldn’t?” Kaana said in a frustrated tone.”

“I was asked by the person who I was talking to earlier: Mr. Edmunds.” Coach Clawdeen started. “He wanted to make sure he could call me up to tell me any important updates for an upcoming event happening in a month or so. So when we arrived to take our break, I got the call from him.”

“Okay that answers the phone question.” Kaana said. “But really, how did you disappear?”

“Apparently I hung up on Mr. Edmunds a little too soon so I could get us back on track.” Coach Clawdeen said after she cleared her throat. “So when we were further on the trail, I was transported from my location at the front of our group, back to the school campus.”

“So he got that mad at you for cutting him off that he brought you to him?” Jane asked as she finished her bowl of ramen.

“It wasn’t him.” Coach Clawdeen said bluntly. “It was actually the Headmaga herself: Lady Hortense.”

“Wait. THE HEADMAGA CALLED YOU BACK?!” Kaana and Annalise screamed in shock.

“Yes, and she had quite a few stern words to say to me before giving me the final part of information that I needed.” The coach said, slightly embarrassed at what she experienced. “After that ordeal, I kindly asked her to take me to our final destination because I assumed you had already arrived by then. By the time I arrived, it turned out that you weren’t here yet, so I scoped out the area and the shop, and, as I got out again, you guys had arrived.”

“Huh. So you really didn’t wait that long for us.” Louise said, stunned by the story she heard.

“Uh, guys? You might want to see this.” Jane said as she pointed to the ramen shop as it slowly started to fade away.

“It’s actually disappearing!” Annalise said, astounded as she and the others watched.

“Looks like we really were its last customers.” Kaana said.

“And this is the moment that I have been anticipating.” Coach Clawdeen said after a pleased sigh. “The final moment of Nabewari.”

“Where do you think it will go next, Coach?’ Louise asked.

“I have no idea, but wherever it goes, I hope they get a lot of business.” Coach Clawdeen said with a proud smile. “Now who is ready to head back?”

“I am, especially since it is still broad daylight.” Jane said in a slightly cocky tone.

“Good, then you’re leading us back Miss Deus! Coach Clawdeen said boastfully.

“Wait, Me?!” Jane said in shock. “Why?”

“Because of the stunt you pulled and the fact that you basically volunteered yourself.” Coach Clawdeen said with a cocky grin. “It’s only fair, and by now I really would’ve thought that you’d expect this from me by now.”

“Ugh, yes Coach.” Jane said in a frustrated grumble as she focussed her magic to get the Locus Pocus spell working.

“Welp, looks like all’s well that ends well you guys.” Louise said as she gave herself a long stretch.

“Yup, and looks like what goes around, comes around for Jane!” Kaana said as she pointed to her house maiden.

The other girls chuckled at their classmate as she got their desired location set in the spell. Once she was ready, the whole group walked their way back to the school campus, ready to enjoy the rest of their weekend.
