Description
These are the Star Seeker and Hidden Dragon keyblades from Kingdom Hearts II. They, as well as the Valor Form Sora costume that I made to accompany it, took 10 months to create and are a source of personal pride for me.Related content

These keyblades took me 50 hours each to make! It took that much time because they were my first keyblades and the most intricate props I ever made at the time. Now, I can make them much more quickly. ^_^

Because these were my first keyblades, each one took me 50 hours to make (it would probably take less time now that I have experience and better tools.)
I used pine wood to make them; pine is great because it is light and soft enough to carve smoothly.

Oh wow! You did a great job! I've seen people make their own keyblades, and they're usually the Kingdom Key, Oathkeeper or Oblivion. But your's are based on two that people don't use in cosplay! And, they are by far the best looking ones! Better than the preview of them that's in the game! Truly Amazing!
You hard work shows! If you ever make anymore keyblades, I would be honored to see them too. ^-^

Thanks! I made the Star Seeker and Hidden Dragon of all keyblades for the simple reason that I like them the best; they are amongst the most vibrantly colored and uniquely shaped of the game. I was immediately attached from the moment I received them while playing. ^_^ I have heard many people question my choices, though, yet I give them the exact same answer (they wonder why I did NOT make the Oathkeeper and Oblivion, although the obvious answer is that they are made by nearly every Roxas, Riku, and Sora cosplayer, which, in and of itself, makes them very dull and unsurprising to see, unless the maker has a unique carving method or color choice that deviates from the game.)
I have already made two Chakrams for my Axel costume - I should definitely upload a photo of the two of them soon! ^_^ Thank you very much for your comment!

Both keychains are made of chains of different sizes and types of metals. The moon of the Star Seeker is hand carved out of wood and the Hidden Dragon's keychain is a finger cymbol that dings whenever it moves. ^_^

Thank you! I measured them to relative scale - I saw how long they were on Sora's body (for example, the Star Seeker ranges from the top of his head to his hips) then transfered the measurements (from my head to my hips) to become the length of the keyblade.
