In this case, I'd say the entire file. Uninstall the program from your computer and try it again. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid I can't really help you any further. I'm sorry. : (

After you extract the .ZIP file, there should be a "conf," "img" and "lib" folders. If you are installing a character, I only copy the "img" files, go to the "img" files in my Program Files, then paste them in a folder labeled after that character. I hope that helps!

I figured it out I had a different version of java on my computer than what was needed & than you the tutorial was helpful as well

I DID IT XD now he's walking in my desktop :3

I moved all the pictures to my desktop and i am still getting an error message. Was there something i did wrong or am i running the wrong program?

You actually need to put the pictures in the img file in the Shimeji program file. (And what I usually do is make a new folder for each character rather than drop them in there, so click on your img file, make a new folder named after your character, and drop the pictures in there.) I hope that helps you out!! : )
