I wanted to ask, how do I upload my shimeji to deviantart? I finally made my own and it works great on my computer and I'd like to share it with others. But I am very confused and having trouble uploading it to deviantart.

I would say you actually have to upload a zip file containing the things you use for your shimeji. Β I've never uploaded one myself, so I am not entirely sure, but give that a shot!

I could never figure it out either. That's why I created a mediafire account and uploaded the picture of the shimeji here on deviantart with a link to the mediafire download. It saved me a lot of headache. The only reason why I couldn't upload it to deviantart was because every category I tired to put it in wouldn't let me submit it. That was quite frustrating...

This is helpful but when I run the programme the icon shows up on my task bar on the right corner but then the Shimeji never shows up. I'm only trying to run one so I don't think I'm overloading my computer.

Hmm... Β Sometimes they take a bit of time to load, no matter how many you run. Β I know on my own computer it can take quite a few minutes (I have an older laptop, so I rarely even run the program anymore.) Β If it takes more than 15 minutes or so, I would suggest reinstalling the program.

That's an error I haven't really heard of yet. Β I would suggest deleting the java file you have then reinstalling, then installing one more time. Β Perhaps the older version interfered with a proper installation.

i got too with my madoka ver2. ver1 works fine but ver2 doesn't. btw, where i can dl this program? i might have to move madoka2 to it, in order to run

When I downloaded my shimeji and checked the folder, there was no " img " folder. Is there something wrong with the one I downloaded or am I supposed to make the folder?

I would say there's something wrong with the one you downloaded. You could try downloading it again, or if that doesn't work, perhaps contact the person distributing the download and seeing if they can help you get it fixed.

Okay, so I've looked everywhere and at the risk of seeming stupid, I have to ask; where do I download the program to run shimejis? (not just individual shimejis

I would have to say I found it through a deviant's journal (which I cannot locate now), so what I would recommend is actually looking through some of the individual shimejis here on deviantART. Sometimes the artist will provide a link to the full program as well, so if a Google search doesn't provide the results you are looking for, I would suggest trying that next. I hope it helps!

I get as far as the image set chooser, hit use selected and the window closes, but nothing pops up. This happens for every shim I've tried. Any idea what might be wrong?

How many are you trying to open at one time? Sometimes it might take a while for them to load, sometimes it will not load them because it's "too much" for the computer to handle. Other than that, I'm not sure what could be the problem, perhaps it would be best to check your conf folder or reinstall the program?
