Thanks! I think this sort of flame always looks good on a white/pastel background

Holy monkey that's nice!!! I've been away for a spell but I see that you've been hard at work creating some great pieces! This one is, in my honest opinion, the best I've seen from you thus far. Exquisite my friend.

Thank you indeed! Sadly, it may be the last for a while as I'm in a slump and this was my trump card, the final ace before sitting out a round or two whilst I await the return of the spark

I know the feeling man, I was there a month or so back. Inspiration can hit like bus when you're not looking though

Great metaphor! I actually was struck by an idea I'd forgotten about, a mono triptych of perhaps a bone-like structure. If I ever find the time...

oh wonderful Ian -knew that you would find "it" again
and this one I both hear and taste- its light and sweet - and visually it reminds me of the many framed photos of bird wings flapping

No, this isn't "again" but the last of the old. I may even try working with some other software as an interim. But I felt I should go out on a strong note: this is so abstract that it gives the imagination something to play with

It looks like an angel, bowing his head (yeah, a male angel and I don't know why male exactly...but he just is), with his wings folded behind him. The flow of divinity and emotion, reality and perception.

A wonderful interpretation - my own was just abstract, but you've filled in the framework

Indeed! Not so much "go with the flow" as "be the flow"

Indeed!Never "go with the flow".
I am inspired of your work.I think i am going to try a white one, like your flame.

My own method with whites: I run with black background as default but if a structure appears that I think would suit white, I simply try it then play with the gradient. Alternatively, I recently submitted some batch scripts that included one that generates a random batch of mono flames on white background - it can be found here . It would be simple to amend this to use normal coloured gradients or even randomised darker ones...
