Description "And how will I get out?" asked Alice.

"Oh, you won't" replied Susan. "If you find your way out of one, you emerge into another. If you get out of that, you'll be in another. An so on... You're here for the long haul."

The darker side of Wonderland. The way out? Simultaneous acceptance and denial. I'm feeling remarkably cryptic today...

If you've not already guessed, more wonderment from the lazysusan plugin.

Nicely done -

the darker side though, doesn't usually give me a choice about leaving... gotta find that lil spark away off over there...

I want this one as a rug

be well Ian

A rug! Yes, I can see it would be ideal, especially if the pile was fashioned to follow the main contours.

I think there is always a way out from the dark, just not always by literal means. Here, I cast the character Lazy Susan as Alice's fear, and the maze her ordeal. The way out is to accept the ordeal with equanimity but then deny its reality. Thus fear is defeated.

Well now I have a choice of two of your pieces to get lost in

Umm, you're not trying to subtly tell me something, are you?

I'm so glad! In my little Alician detour, I cast the character Lazy Susan as Alice's fear and the maze as her trial. Obviously, it possesses a different aesthetic

IDeviant In reply to baba49 [2007-10-29 07:40:18 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, Baba! I think the gradient recalled old Genesis album covers ([LINK] , [LINK] , [LINK] ), hence the whole Alice thing

baba49 In reply to IDeviant [2007-10-29 10:25:25 +0000 UTC]

Cool Did you take the gradient from that or is it coincident?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

IDeviant In reply to baba49 [2007-10-30 15:36:45 +0000 UTC]

Well, the process went something like: pattern; gradient -> maze + recalls album covers -> Alice -> story about maze
