Description
Im really new to character stuff, so i thought going with a reference might be nice for a first try. Based on the main enemies in Bungies 1994 FPS Marathon, still one of my favorite gaming series story-wise. But apart from being a great game these guys always felt kinda harmless and squishy (well, they were), so i gave him some armor for his 20th birthday
Here’s the original design: marathongame.wikia.com/wiki/Fi…

Here's to 20 years of killable eldritch horrors, cyborgs of yore, & AIs with God complexes.

It's okay. I actually heard Marathon was the 1st "single-player & multiple-player in 1"-type game to include levels designed from scratch to be exclusive to multiple-player out of the box, unlike other "single-player & multiple-player in 1" games of the era, whose multiple-player levels were single-player levels modified for multiple-player. Also, do you ever make mods?

New? I wish I was that good! You can feel the determination, the strength and even aggression!

Hm yes so far i avoided characters, at least human looking ones. Nothing more immersion breaking than a dead CGI stare
Thanks a lot

Well you've taken what looked to me to be characters from the 90's and pulled them into now! Wonderful work, and totally my pleasure!

Looks great.
Yay! Marathon!
One of the best parts was folks teleporting in and helping out.
One of the worst parts was the fire the grenades at something to make a staircase.

The worst part was the platform puzzle in part 1, running around the whole map because one of them is a little bit too low. Awesome
Thanks

I think it was that puzzle. I did not even bother playing that game anymore.
I did finish the second game in the series though.

Really cool dynamic image! The texturing/lighting/pose are all extremely well done.
Doesn't look like he (it) is too pleased though...

Excellent work - and a super update to the original design! I'm no games player, and the Marathon trilogy are the only games I have ever played all the way though!
BTW, Bungie open-sourced Marathon and people still update it - you could blow their minds with an updated character design! source.bungie.org/scenarios.ph…

Hehe nice. Ive played them -a lot- when i was younger. Even made my own levels, kinda helped to get into 3D i think. Although the games weren't 3d of course
I know, always have them on my HD. I still have my well preserved Trilogy Box package though

I still have mine somewhere... Though I haven't played any of them in years! I did go through a phase about a decade ago of taking out my frustrations after a day in the office by storming around some of Infinity's multiplayer levels, just killing anything in site!

I always used the Vidmaster maps from Infinity for that.
