Commission for ~Meowzer2u of the world map for her upcoming virtual pet game, Sylestia.This map is hugely detailed, with over 50 individually drawn towns, buildings, and other landmarks scattered all over. It took a lot of effort but I'm really pleased with the outcome
The map can be found in the game where you can use it to explore all the various areas. Clicking a region will bring up a full size version of that area, so all the detail can be seen and appreciated by players.
Sylestia is a fun RPG styled web game with brilliant exploration and questing and highly customisable pets and player avatars. I recommend checking it out - it's not yet finished but there's still heaps to do

I think they are, and I love your map, especially how it seems to have many layers, so they can trigger certain places to appear only after you reach that point in the story.

Yes, every landmark is on it's own layer so that various places can be hidden and revealed along the course of the game. It makes for quite a large PSD file

I think it was well worth it, I really enjoyed places being revealed as I completed quests. I especially liked the mushroom forest.

great inspiration maps, thanks. I want to start my own map making and I am thinking...I think it might be good to start with an outline and follow with more detailed maps of various regions...just thinking where to start.
