For those who haven't yet seen them, these are the symbols for use in Neo Redux. All 18 official types are represented, plus Cosmic, Sound, Light, and Cyber (respectively, on the bottom). They were included merely because they are some of the most commonly requested "fan-types," and I was asked to create symbols for them.
Don't ask me what the type matchup for those types would be, either. I haven't thought about it, and since they aren't types that I necessarily agree with, I don't really plan to!
I did alter the "official" colors to those more of my liking.
UPDATE 12/9/11:
Dragon symbol is now the official Dragon-type TCG symbol found in the upcoming Dragon Selection set.
UPDATE 5/23/13:
With the new Fairy-type Pokémon appearing in Pokémon X/Y, I decided to create a symbol for the type, based on Sylveon's bow.
HUGE UPDATE 6/1/13:
I've decided to completely update the way the symbols are presented (a bit more stylized). The names of the types are now found underneath the symbols as well. Bird-type has been removed in this version. Please download for full-view!
UPDATE 6/11/13:
Looks like Fairy-type is real! The new Eeveelution, Sylveon, is confirmed Fairy, and Jigglypuff, Marill, and Gardevoir have Fairy added onto their original types. Another new Pokémon, Flabébé, has also been shown (pure Fairy).

Updated with the official Fairy-type symbol.

New Cosmic and Light symbols.

It looks more like a rock formation at larger sizes. The symbol itself was actually used in the anime as the (along with the Grass and Water symbols) representation of the Rock Field in the first generation Pokémon League. [link]

I am working on a Pokemon-like battle game and created some type-symbols, trying to hit the style of the card-game.
To improve the experience I'd like to have a selection of different sets of symbols. You did a really good job here.
May I use Your icons for my game? I don't earn any money with that game.

Ofc, but it can take a bit time because my partner and I are working on it in our free time.
I will maybe upload it in a beta-kind version. The whole concept is based on the idea to give user the chance to create own content (like missing animations).
Maybe I'll use that to justify an early beta.

Really? I used to be in that camp but I'm more of a Sound-type guy now.
While it remains to be seen, I think Fairy might sort of fill in for tLight-type

guess so... but i wonder what's the fairy's weakness... could be ice type,since fairies only like spring summer autumn, and doesn't like winter, or fire... or ghost...
and sound type? yeah, i was thinking of the same type for some sound moves...

Apparently the type weaknesses have been leaked.
Not sure if you ever visit PokeBeach, but the webmaster had some info leaked to him by a beta tester of the game. So far, everything he's leaked has been true. He leaked the names of Pancham, Helioptile, Gogoat, and Fletchling before they were revealed, the Fairy-type (and its super effectiveness toward Dragon), sky battles...just to name a few things. He was allegedly contacted with a cease and desist my Nintendo, so I'm assuming the majority of what the leaker sent was true.
Anyway, enough backstory...the leaker gave this as Fairy's type relationships: Fairy will be a new type. It is weak to Poison and Steel, immune to Dragon, super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting, and Fire and Psychic-type Pokemon take half damage from it.

fairy is cool... know another frequently used fake type? cyber.. .despite it is mostly electric.. i like... , and magic, (the one i refer as Arcane) that is the opposite of Cosmic

Yeah, I was trying to think of a good Cyber-type symbol. Ideas? I've tossed around various ideas with circuitry, with a power icon, computer chip...but nothing has seemed to work so far.

did you already watched tron legacy? i think that those disks would be cool... what do you think? or an ammount of squares to be like pixels...

Never seen Tron Legacy but I Googled it and while they look cool, I don't think it would be the best representation of the type. The pixel idea would be cool, but I'm not sure how good it would look like when shrunk down to card size...

yeah... that's a problem... well... another ideas... "technology" in general is commonly represented by: a gear, the number PI,a triangle with three lines, one in each side, laser,CD,these symbols : (#,@)... binary code (0101000101...),letter W, an hourglass or a clock (but this is more psychic),a copyright symbol (©), the collor turquoise (something between blue and green, not turquoise at all, but that's not a symbol XP)... well... i ran out of ideas XD...
i have something about kindom hearts and stuff, and i use to write about "elements", that mines are fifteen (fire,water,wind,earth,ice,lightning,tech,sound,light,darkness, psyon(psychic),fear (macabre things...),time,space and void, and i have symbol to each... and the tech symbol is a PI... but i dont think it will look cool in a type symbol... do you think?

Here are some examples of stuff I did last night. I avoided a gear because I figured people would associate it with Steel types, a # or @ symbol wouldn't really fit the other types.
The first two are supposed to represent CPU chips, and while they look GREAT large (probably my favorites at large sizes), I'm not TOO thrilled how they look small. The third symbol is a pair of connecting cables, representing the leaps and bounds in communication that technology/computers have given us. The fourth and fifth symbols are pretty generic; the fourth is a wifi/signal symbol and the fifth a power icon. The sixth has a double meaning...it can be viewed as either a link (i.e. hyperlink) or as the "waiting/loading" hourglass. The seventh is a pair of 0s and 1s (binary code).
Any likes/dislikes?

i did liked every...spcially the wifi signal , and the power icon... cause i think you will'nt have problems when shrunk... i just think thar people will think weird things about a signal symbol or a power icon in to a card, trying to move the card (to get more symbol) or clicking it, (to turn off) but in my view, these are the best

Haha thanks! I HOPE people wouldn't actually think the card would receive signals or power on...
As far as looking good when shrunk, I purposely made the symbols almost as small as they would be used, just to get an idea. I can put whatever symbols you'd like on the metal discs I have in the other types for your own use if you want them!

well, i do use every type from your metal discs, plus arcane and fossil, ( fossil is a rock,but that's obviously a type to pre-hystoric pokemon, in my region(Nyx) every pre-hystory pokemon (they are all rock types,noticed?) has changed their rock type to fossil, and also, i have that thing of kingdom hearts, my fiteen elements... that i also use as types to a bestiary i'm making

... fossil: brown, and a nautilus,something in amber, or a normal bone as icon...
arcane: well... i use cosmic in a very dark blue, and arcane is right the color of your cosmic XD... but anyway...a pink darker than fairy's would be cool... and for icon... a cheshire cat smile and eyes(XD) or ... a soul flame... how could i explain..., oh! like the ear of my arcane Eeveelution Circeon, check: [link] but is more like the ones in it's front legs

...a nautilus was what I was thinking for Fossil and some sort of flame was what I was considering for Arcane...great minds think alike, eh?! Perfect!
I can recolor my Cosmic in your color and use the existing color for Arcane...I'll just put everything together in a separate deviation for you!
