Description "It's broken; I don't want it anymore."

This is the first of my new series of stickmen drawings I'll be posting online. These pieces, in their raw, messy, unpolished and untidy quality, come from places deep within my heart and are put to paper whenever I am in the hold of exceptionally strong emotion/s.

I have been making these for over a year now, and have finally decided to share them with the world. I know I might lose quite a lot of watchers with this content, which is about as unlike my usual work as it can get, but that's fine - this is more for me then for pleasing the crowd.

I do hope however, that you enjoy this series and that it may touch, resonate with inspire those who come across it.

When our heart is filled with negative feelings, we sure want to get rid of the heart itself, to be unable to feel anything anymore. Some people really manage to do that and live emotionless for the rest of their lives just because of one failure. Every event in this life is so important to our future.

I hope you don't mind, but I recently thought of a poem that kinda goes with this...
"A heart broken by its own owner,
I don't possess the tools to fix it,
so,
I don't want it anymore."

I can tell from this very simple artistic drawing piece it's pretty dark because of how the silhouette figure is posing and how it is holding the dripping heart in its hands! This also makes the perfect rough draft sketch in case you're planning to complete the final draft of this art piece!

I like how the pen strokes are random yet somehow controlled. The figure in this drawing seems like hes in a really dark place. I think this piece is very creative, I cant wait to see more of the Stickmen series

Your concept is cool, both in idea and execution.
I would use plain white paper if possible and not lined paper.
(or make them look like part of the artwork, like turn them into barbed wire, or boards or something)

At first it looks "simple", but when you're not narrow-minded and take a closer look at it, it's very detailed and it means something. It's not a random sketch like people draw in a corner of a sheet when they're bored. I like the ambiance you gave and the words hidden behind this "little" drawing. Some random people not moved by art could say "oh this is just crappy sketches, nothing more", but no, it's not crappy sketch! It is very emotional and I can feel the strong emotion of that moment.

It can be joy, it can be sadness, it can be anger or any other emotion. But it's always very strong emotions that are depicted in this way, most of the time it's related to despair, fear, anger, and other similar feelings.

I honestly feel touched by this drawing and somehow I even find it beautiful. And also very strong. With those little dark hearts hanging from the ceiling. It's pitch black, looks somehow polluted, dirtied, because of all the pain and sadness a human can accumulate. To me, it's like this little stick man character is putting his heart, his bleeding and suffering black heart, in a box to prevent others to hurt this heart more than it already is. He would put his heart in that box to somehow protect it from evil and mean people, to keep himself away from the suffering others can cause... and he would take it back when he comes home, alone, and would cherish this precious heart and would do anything to make it heal.

I'm sure there are many ways to see this illustration. You have your very own point of view on this so strongly emotional drawing and I'm sure other people will have a vision different from yours or mine, but what is fantastic about this piece is that it makes feel emotions. And that's beautiful♥

Oh my goodness, this has got to be one of the my well written and beautiful comments I've even gotten on my art. Thank you so very much for take the time to write it and share your interpretations of it!
It's what I wanted when posting this, I wanted to really touch people inside, let them mull the image in their hearts and see how what it means to them personally. I'm so glad that I've reached one person in that manner, and to me that makes posting this extremely personal piece worth sharing.

Your story behind it is wonderfully written, I really appreciate you take the time and effort to share your views with the world on it, and I'm honored to have my work considered worthy of such responses. Again, thank you ever so much for the comment, and I hope, if you stick around to see more of the series, you find the others enjoyable too~ <3

It has its charm to it. It reminds me of a type of hall mark card or even something from the comic publisher SlaveLaborGraphics. It has potential in it but right now I feel it's unfortunately too raw and untidy as you put it. There's nothing wrong with having a type of look that is sketchy and wild but it benefits more when these lines are intentionally placed as opposed to chaotic emotion. I suppose it boils down to what you want to achieve with these the most. As you mentioned these are more for you so I have to ask how far are you willing to alter these and try different approaches? Or are you more deadset on this type of look and stress relieving significance it may have for you? What I do notice is that the sketchiness of the floor lets me know there is some thought put into these since there is a sense of perspective and depth even with these sketchy lines. Perhaps doing a series of this image and trying to find different angles or simplifying the lines as much as possible to get the most impactful version you can. Try to have each line contribute to the piece as best as possible and I feel these will truly be beautiful. Also was this intentionally done on the lined paper? It might be better to reach for a piece of copy paper or a sketchbook instead.

Oh wow, thank you so very much for insightful commentary and thoughts. I have little plans to change my current style (the unbridled freehand messiness and lined paper are on purpose), but I did want to hear an in-depth, brutally honest overview on this series. I will however, try out your tips sometimes and hope for the best in the results, thank you so much again!
