This is the gradient shading part, I think this is what most people asked for but it continues on from the lineart tut.
Once again please excuse the typos, I was never very good at English. Whoops...

I find this tutorial extremely helpful and comprehensive! However, I still have one question for ya.
You have a layer called "faded markings" and "gradient markings", but you never explained how you actually create those markings (the ones that fade on the legs and at the nose). I'd really like to know how you went about doing that.

Unless you're "part two" was the same gradient style as it is on the legs here, in which case I understand it. =X

Your right though, to create the leg and nose markings I simply used the gradient tool except I didn't change the opacity of the layer

At first but once you get used to it you won't have a problem. And you don't have to use the pen tool, a brush will work just as well! I only use the pen tool because my hands arn't very steady

I use a tablet, but the pen tool is such a great idea for those who doesn't have one!

I know, I read a few and I got confused after the first sentance XD I didn't know at what level to do it so I aimed it for people with basic knowledge+ because I guessed a lot of people wouldn't have used the pen tool before
