Description
A friend of mine on Comic Vine just leaned about the alignment table for the first time, and he asked if there was one for the Lantern Corps. There was, but I didn't agree with all the placement so I decided to do my own.Images acquired with the help ofΒ Wikimedia Commons.

Here's the oath for my fictional Corps powered by Loyalty:
"Whether peaceful day or stormy night,
never shall we lose our sight,
For what matters most to us, we fight
to end the chaos: Loyalty is our light!"

I love this, but I have one change to suggest.Β
The Red Lanterns are rage and violence. That is the very heart and center of Chaotic Evil alignment. The Black Lanterns are Death, and have no chaos or law, simply a focus of killing everyone so they can join the ranks. Thats a very neutral concept. And "death," in it's essence, is a very neutral statement. Because all things, lawful or chaotic, come to an end, and that end is Death.
This is a little poetic on my part, and I apologize for that lol. BUT my point is, I strongly think that if you switched The Red and Blacks to Black=Neutral Evil, and Red=Chaotic Evil, that would be far more accurate.Β
I think everything else was spot on and well done.

So why is a blue lantern considered "neutral good" on here? I get the feeling that something that represents "Hope" might as well be the top of goodness or something (I'm still surprised that a story hasn't been done to make superman a blue lantern). The green lanterns are technically "lawful" but their main member Hal Jordan keep disobeying their commands constantly and usually for good reason showing how "high and mighty" the guardians could be about their laws.

i went with blue as neutral because of their generally more pacifistic approach

Are these different Lantern Corps based on the Seven Deadly Sins? (Red Lanterns = Wrath, Orange Lanterns = Greed, Purple Lanterns = Lust, etc.)

Well, the Legion of Doom members do, as a general rule, tend to put their personal agendas above the team, so that makes sense.

Speaking of Lantern Corps, knowing the primary nature of Zeke Boddy and Eugene Boddy's powers, they'd likely be mistaken for a Black Lantern and a White Lantern respectively.

By the way, could you please help me end that flashback in Pixels and Shadows?:
While he is eating, this flashback begins
Miss Martian: -via telepathy- "Zeke! Eugene! Robin had a memory of his past life before the Reboot Incident!"
-Zeke Boddy flies immediately to Tim Drake's position, and Eugene Boddy hides in a huge bush-
Zeke: -to Tim Drake- "Tim, do you remember Stephanie Brown?"
Tim: "I... I don't know. I only just met her-"
-pause-
Bat-Mite: "Around the end ofΒ Batman EternalΒ I believe."
-play-
Tim: "But she just seems... familiar, somehow."
Tim: "And Eugene, we can see you hiding in the bush!"
Eugene: "GuessΒ I shouldn't have underestimated you, young detective. I keep forgetting how you're even smarter than your predecessors."
-Tim begins to break down in tears over Stephanie. Zeke and Eugene hang their heads in sorrow for Tim-

Eugene: "We can only hope."

Zeke: "I'm pretty sure the fact that Tim's crying over Stephanie should be an obvious clue that he remembers her."
-Tim's voice begins to revert back to his DCAU!voice, but he is still crying over Stephanie. Zeke comforts him by hugging him like a father would for his distressed son-
Zeke: "I have a son who could relate perfectly to you. His name is Cole."
-Cole flies by with a huge burlap sack filled with plenty of freshly decapitated heads of rabid Lobdell fanboys and fangirls-
Cole: -filled with pride over his recent accomplishment- "Father, I have done it! I've annihilated an entire horde of Lobdell's cronies, and I brought the heads of our enemies to prove it! And of course, I made sure they all had quick and painless deaths, hence why their heads are severed!"
Zeke: "Good work, son. I'm especially relieved that you chose to give them swift and pain-free deaths!"

Ironically, though, both Zeke and Eugene are immune to turning into a Black Lantern.
Considering that we talk about those aforementioned OCs all the time, the reason should be obvious to you at this point.

By the way, the concept of the Boddy Brothers occasionally working for the LAPD as Reserve Officers when they're in the Marvel Universe (unless they're busy dealing with the Marvel Universe's most dangerous supervillains or mindless monsters) was an afterthought of mine because I was thinking it would make for a good joke for Zeke and Eugene Boddy to work for Los Angeles' Finest (albeit periodically.)
See what I did there?

Thanks.
Originally, I was gonna have Zeke and Eugene work for South Park's Police Department, but the problem is that most characters in South Park are too insane for the Boddy Brothers to cope with.
Plus, Father Maxi (southpark.wikia.com/wiki/Fathe⦠) might react badly to the Boddy Brothers, considering that, even though they are angels, they are not of his God.
Unless Father Maxi makes an excuse like "Oh, you prefer to call him Onitnarat? You have the right to call God whatever harmless name you want, my sons."

I think the Black Lantern's should be neutral evil. The black light represents death and Death does not discriminate who or what is killed and their goal was to end all chaos born from existence by the white light. Thus returning the universe to a, deathlike, peaceful state of nothingness.

interesting view. i chose red as neutral evil because even Atrocitus has his more noble moments, and black for chaotic evil because the whole 'intergalactic zombie apocalypse' thing just seemed more "chaotic" to me

I think I could be a Yellow Lantern. I'm not scary, but I'm scared of everything, and that should be enough to power the ring.
Plus, it's the only emotion on the spectrum that I think applies to me.

no, Sinestro rings are strictlyΒ causing fear. forΒ being afraid, you want theΒ Ring of Volthoom (which is basically Green from an evil parallel universe)
