Description
Day after day, alone on the hill ...... stands this single tree, small and crooked as is it, but proudly fluttering its few leaves in the wind. Carry on, young warrior!

Haunting and mysterious, this little tree certainly seems like a warrior. It looks like it's being pushed by the wind, but the surrounding area seems quiet...it's like the tree has given up trying to go back to it's upright position. I love the colours in this photo...the mauve really makes it seem all the more arcane. Love it! Faved!

This reminds me of an image that was used in the haunted video in the movie THE RING... and, of course, an image of such sticks in our minds because of the memorable impact it has on our emotions ... similar to one of the previous comments that mentions "a poem definitely needs written about this one, perhaps a tragic love story or the end of the world." This just has that type of feeling about it. Very well done.

And I did not even mention that about 5 yards behind the tree is a vertical drop of about 100 feet into a lake before it rises on the other side where you can see the trees on the hill,
