A relatively small species of Stylt, The Syll, sometimes referred to as the dwarf Stylt, which lives near Canada instead of north america, unlike its larger relative, the Stylt has traveled a a few miles too far up north and is lost, he spots a large fresh lake. He walks up to it, hoping to catch a fish, unknowing what lurks below...

Suddenly, a thundering sound followed by an explosion and mist of water erupt from the pond. just a few feet away, is a 16 foot long Guoll , a Canadian freshwater bird. the Guoll, not wanting to share its land with any trespasser, flops and smacks its body over the gravel beach. Lunging and snapping towards the startled Syll, it warns it to back off. The Syll, who is now screeching and snapping back, hopping backwards a few feet each time the Guoll heaves its body towards it, lures the Guoll into a trap. The Guoll is now too far away from the water to go back, and the Syll stands back and waits for the Guoll to starve. A few hours later, the Syll is enjoying itself on a well earned carcass of a 16 foot long Guoll.
