Description Jet Demons, closely related to Jet Angels , encompass a wide group of flying aliens on the planet Traznagtan that gain most of their nutrition through parasitism. Similarly, Jet Angel is a name that encompasses a wide group of flying aliens on the planet Traznagtan that gain most of their nutrition through catching large and live prey, usually sea life.

This Jet Demon we see here in particular is known as the Skyleech. They hang around the plains of Traznagtan, where their favorite meals, cattle-like Jokkuts (related to Jekkos ) are found eating the diverse flora. Similarly to Jet Angels and many creatures like them, Jet Demons use jet propulsion to fly through the atmosphere, and, when threatened, can induce a chemical reaction which gives them a strong boost when flying. Jet Angels and Jet Demons have 4 eyes, and the Skyleech has used this to aid in its parasitic lifestyle. While flying through the sky, Skyleeches use the two protruding eyes on stalks to watch below, and locate Jokkuts. When a Jokkut is spotted, the Jet Demon flies down and latches itself on via two arms with long hooked claws, as to get through the thick fur. Once there, they use their jaw to tear through the fur and make an incision into the flesh, where blood-like liquids are drained. Once on the Jokkut, They use the top eyes, which have ring-shaped pupils (which allows them to see the horizon more clearly) to locate for oncoming predators which might attack the Jokkut. If one is spotted, the Skyleeches dart off, which gives an involuntary warning to the Jokkut about nearby predators. There is a silver lining to everything, even parasitism, it seems.

Jokkuts, like Jekkos and many other deer/cow -like species of Traznagtan, have mouth-like "bleating holes" lining their neck (to communicate via sound) and on their head they have smaller holes used to sense infrared light, which essentially means they can "see" the body heat of animals close by (to detect predators). Also similar to many ungulate-like animals of Traznagtan, Jokkuts are tripedal, and have beaks which can be fully concealed by "lips" that are covered in fur, rendering them to look mouth-less when their lips are shut. Sadly, when Skyleeches latch on to a Jokkut, there isn't much that it can do, but this also makes the Skyleeches very content.

I really haven't done xenobiology lately, which I need to start doing again, its fun!
