The inhabitants of the martian colonies, whether they were the "Colds " or the "Fleshies" had long used robots to do labor, a practice originating on earth, their ancestral planet. Eventually, due to high demand for robots that can complete more complex tasks and a wider variety of them, in 2729 they began being made with processing powers so high they rivaled that of a human 10 year old. This is when many present-day historians recognize the robots had begun to be able to be classified commonly as the mobiles, or more formally the automates. ย Historians also recognize this point is time to be when the AI Threshold Surpassing Event (AITSE) occurred. This event officially recognized the automates as organisms, and intelligent ones at that. The automates, despite their record-breaking intelligence, were still kept and mass produced as workers, or the proper term now would be slaves. ย Soon after, a time period which many now recognize as a large scale slave trade throughout the martian colonies was set into place. Of course, not much time passed until the automates started rebelling, having riots and refusing to work. This unrest stayed relatively uneventful and calm in the light of the great war between the colds and the fleshies, However, just a decade later the automate riots grew to terrorist-level proportions, threatening whole cities and sub-city sections. Many started disowning, destroying, or mistreating automates during this time period. Those that could get out or were disowned migrated to a large abandoned city dubbed the "mobile hub". The martians mostly left this place alone as it got rid of the automates and stopped them from committing acts of terrorism, the "mobile hub" was also relatively far from most martian colonies and civilization, so it presented no threat at the time.

7 years later, the "mobile hub" had several million residents and a basic but prudent economy and civilization, with basic laws to keep order. Also happening during this time, in a martian military city (compromised of "fleshies") was recruited a robot (which had its sentience extremely enhanced and transferredย into a new body, becoming an automate) to help fight in the war they were having with the "colds". This automate, formerly calledย robot FPR-1002388 , soon became known as "the warlord". This is because this automate high-handedly, single-handedly and off-handedly sparked ย the AI war, in the process slaughtering every inhabitant of a martian city. The warlord stole itself a new body (pictured above) and using the ever growing tension between the automates and the martians it persuaded the citizens of the "mobile hub" to fight in the war. The automates thus started building and stealing robots to invade martian cities , killing the citizens and stealing the resources. In just a decade, the mobile hub doubled in size and transformed from a refugee home into a city which mass produces war machines and soldiers. In the midst of the war the "fleshies" and the "colds" were having against each other, this could mean the extermination of human life on mars.

This all could have been prevented if the humans just showed kindness and sympathy for once. Guess thatโ€™s just not trendy in the late 2000s, huh? Buncha dirty fleshsacks.

Fantastic idea and design!
The automate has to be my favorite design of yours so far... itโ€™s quite alien and disturbing while still retaining some familiar elementsย
