Description
Originally uploaded on March 18, 2017Since I did nothing with the show before I started reviewing, I'll move on with my final thoughts:
Yawn, after all of the episodes I've reviewed, it feels like this show's bland. Of course, it's one of the shows that people consider "a revival of Nickelodeon", but that's not the case. I was expecting this show to be a lot better than The Loud House and it did, but woefully because I had to sit through blandness and a plenty of episodes with generic writing. The pie chart indicates that this show is lukewarm, therefore this show is just okay in my opinion.
The premise is like other 2010s Nicktoons premises: the adventures of at least 2 friends. No potential can be seen here, just felt very generic. As for the writing, it isn't very good because of how every episode feels generic. What actually made them okay is that this show has a lot of heart. Pretty much every ending for each episode felt very sweet, along with some of the generic episodes being excellently executed, to the point of being heartwarming (Comet Night?, Arbor Day, and Operation Peanut Butter). It can come to a surprise that Harvey Beaks is one of the most heartwarming shows I've seen, and instead of being obnoxious like the other Nicktoons, it decides to take on real world problems and give some heart to make us relate the stories to one of our past memories, like what Arthur can do. Even though there's barely any creativity, the show can still survive without that because it has its heart as the leader. The writing might be bland and generic, but a lot of heart can make it better to the point of being just decent writing.
I don't love the quality because it looks like the show combines animation styles from SpongeBob SquarePants, Sanjay and Craig, and Breadwinners, but I can say that it's ample and at least it's not animated in flash so that people won't have a problem with. The backgrounds remind me of a children's book, while the character designs are just something from today's standards. While the music is generic for the 2010s, they can still be pretty catchy. But then there are the musical numbers that pop out of nowhere, which reminds me of other songs, but thanks to the heart of Harvey Beaks, I can say that they're tolerable because they can sometimes feel bland and dated (like most of the songs in Steampunks). Nothing special is about the quality, just decent as the writing.
The characters actually make this show something other than just bland crap. Harvey Beaks' heart mostly focuses on the characters, and I can say that they can be really relatable or just plain fun. However, pretty much all of them being one-dimensional ruins their positives, but compared to the Nicktoons of the 2010s (not including The Legend of Korra and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), they're less annoying and act likeable. Another complaint I have is that they're copies from Arthur. Again, nothing special is about the characters. Even though they're entertaining, the cons have gotten me throughout the show.
You can easily guess my rating for the show after you read my summary. Harvey Beaks, even if it's loved by me due to it's heart, is lukewarm and barely anything made me come back to the show more. Due to the fact that all 3 aspects are ripped from other shows, along with being dull and generic, the popularity of Harvey Beaks will possibly die off after its cancellation. In all, I just keep forgetting this show more due to the cons. I've been fighting about the show's final rating, whether it's alright or ample, because this show was on the border of good and meh, but because of the cons being stronger overtime, it's fair (64%). I'll say it again; Nothing special is about this show and the only thing that can make this show good is its heart. Without any heart, this show is really dull altogether.

Hard to believe at one point this show was Ample at 70% when you first posted this scorecard, and it fell to Fair at 64% at the end of Season 2.

We have really different opinions and that's ok (most of your scorecards seem to be pretty controversial too lol), but I really disagree with what you said about the music being generic for the 2010's. (Also I'm a bit surprised to see A Day of Not To Do and Alone as the worst p: )

That was only my first thoughts on the music, but now I think the music here is very good due to it sounding catchy and fitting with the show's environment.

I fucking hate what the Nicktoon tag (or any cartoon tag, for that matter) on this site has become.
The art of sitting down and enjoying a cartoon is dead.
Now all we can do is sit on our asses, bawwww over aspects we don't like, whine over things that are too childish (NEWSFLASH: The TARGET AUDIENCE is children!), and sound like a bunch of butthurt wannabes.

honestly as a cartoon reviewer myself i kinda agree
i dont like how u went around it(seriously u could be nicer about it) but i do agree that people seem to take animation way to seriously sometimes and forget to just sit down and enjoy it
