The Problem Solverz is a strange show I remember back when it first aired on Cartoon Network. I first heard of it when there were promos of this garbage starring Alfe that the Problem Sovlerz are awesome and they deplore us to take a bite off their super crazy Japanese acid trip.

I've always wanted to review another bad show because, why not? So I picked this one. I originally intended the scorecard to be part of June 2017's premiere week but I pushed it to July 12 because I could have more time to work on the cartoons I haven't started. Good thing I finished the show on time (because it's short, duh) and get this uploaded to DeviantArt unlike the other 3 shows planned for July 12 and 13. But there is a problem; The Problem Solverz' 2nd season ended up being so obscure, it was removed from Netflix in March 2015 and reuploaded to Dailymotion a month later. What does this have to do with the scorecard? 2 EPISODES ARE BROKEN AND UNVIEWABLE! Yeah, thanks to the austerity Season 2 faced, I wasn't able to watch the last 2 episodes of the show until March 12, 2019 (which is almost two years later) when I found them on a Korean version of YouTube, Pandora.tv. Coincidentally, The X's was another show I wasn't able to finish due to its obscurity, but I was able to find the rest of its episodes working properly the same year I completely finished this show.

While I don't find it as bad as numerous people say, the pie chart concludes that this cartoon is still not good. I mean, look at a number of episodes I recommend: 2 episodes? I'll admit that it's pretty rare for a show like this to have decent episodes, but cmon, 7 damned episodes? That's like a quarter of the show that's terrible. There were enough damned episodes to make a 5 worst list counting down the worst of the worst and like I said before, The Problem Solverz only has 2 episodes I recommend and none of them are better than Bunsen is a Beast' best episode but at least better than The Angry Beavers, Catscratch, and Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy's best episodes respectively.

Even if the writing's bad, it still has minor silver linings:

Before I talk about the premise, I like to share my thoughts on the 2 pilot episodes; Gone Cabin Carzy (yes, that's how the crew spelled it) and Neon Knome. This has something to do with the cartoon's incomprehensibility; First off, the 2 episodes have no idea what they're trying to tell. Second, both episodes are filled with plot holes and large amounts of filler. And let's not forget to include the intolerable intro at the beginning of both pilots. I mean, it lasts way too long where it feels like it has nothing to do with the episode itself. There, that's how these 2 infamous pilots are terrible, therefore spreading its cons over the other episodes of the main series. Alfe, Horace, and Roba don't really fit well in this premise about problem solvers because of...well the pilots. They have nothing to do with problem-solving and decide to be an unknown subject the pilots are having trouble to comprehend. Instead, they become some sitcom-ish thing. I have no clue how to describe the premise. It doesn't work for a show with 3 characters who appears in an episode with a different tone.

Now onto the actual story itself. It sucks, but at least it's not terrible. One thing I like about The Problem Solverz is how creative it can get with the nice twists, interesting concepts, etc. However, that also leads to the creativity spitting in random/dumb endings on the way. The creativity doesn't matter that much in the writing because while we do see it in half of the episodes, most of the episodes are rather simplistic or just plain dull. For something called The Problem Solverz, the title also refers to blandness. Only the creativity can execute the writing into being more interesting and crazy, but yeah, we got the animation. What makes the writing worse is how forced it can get, the characters doing nothing for pretty much the entire 2nd half and the whole thing giving me vibes of Scooby-Doo. What about the humor? I actually find it pretty good, well in the 2nd season. The series has some good slapstick to make laughs, but that isn't saying much. It can be used for annoying quotes that make you want to kill yourself or just tormenting a character. Annoyance everywhere lies within the humor. Speaking of Season 2, that season agrees to IGNORE PROBLEM-SOLVING and go straight back to being some sitcom-ish thing. You see that? This cartoon is just inconsistent. Ditching problem solving into something considered naked? That feels like I'm watching a different cartoon, not a season with PROBLEM SOLVERZ in the name. Combine all these cons and minor pros and you got inconsistency and annoyance everywhere.

Turns out that The Problem Solverz have a worse writing than The Loud House. To get to the animation, you need to go on crack and feel the colors flow through your mind:

Oh god. I didn't expect the animation to suck THIS MUCH. THIS is the main reason why all of the episodes aren't even good! Like seriously, who thought that it will be a good idea to use EVERY color in the universe to cram all of them into one episode? Not only that, but we also got a butt load of scenes that can cause epilepsy (I feel sorry to those that are prone to epilepsy that watched this cartoon) and paste textures all over the screen! This isn't how you do animation. It's more like you're on drugs/addicted to every color than you wanted to find a lot of colors to fit them all into everywhere. What makes it worse is that the colors aren't ugly, but they're also NEON AND VIBRANT COLORS!!! If you use neon colors in a show, that's a little of a problem because it would make the quality more of an eyesore, but add vibrancy here to makes all matters worse! Bad color palette choices? Yeah, as the animators wanted to fill the primary colors everywhere in this trash! But even with the abhorrent colors, the character designs don't help either. While I can say they look original, it couldn't help that their movements feel like they're animated in Flash (or one of the movements that passed it on to Rick and Morty's mediocre character movements) and let's not forget their faces. The eyes look like they're plastered on everyone's faces to make them look as ugly as possible. And also, the voices are rather generic and even ungrateful as well. While I can say that I like the background music, it's really repetitive and feels like SpongeBob SquarePants' Hot Steel and Slide Licks, where I find it unusual at first, but then it gets annoying later on. There's only ONE thing I like about the animation, and that's how it can get creative. The whole quality is trying to joke with us with the ultimate eyesore of animation?

I haven't ranted about any aspect THIS MUCH with barely giving any credit regarding it. Seriously, there's barely anything good to say about the quality. It's all around bad and makes animation a joke. The characters are rather on par with the writing:

Yep, the characters are bad like the writing. They're all generic and one dimensional. Not only that, but they can also be annoying as well, blatantly Alfe, since he annoys Roba in a good amount of episodes (also, Roba is the Squidward Tentacle of The Problem Solverz) and thinks he's his "best friend". Okay, why can't Roba fight back after all Alfe's done to him? Look, how the writers treat Alfe is unfair to other characters, thinking that he's the next star and funniest characters of the show, but we can all agree that he tries too hard to be a Patrick Star, except he looks like Domo, rapidly obnoxious and just plain gullible all along. It feels like a lot of episodes of The Problem Solverz love to focus on Alfe because the show thinks that he's one of their best characters. Anyways, how about the one-timers? Well, I don't find them as bad as the main protagonists. As a matter of fact, they're better than them, thanks to some depth, a need, and their reveal that could make me feel like they're sympathetic characters. However, that doesn't take back their annoying characteristics that make them intolerable. And that's a shame for the characters because they could've been better if they only have a much better character. Overall, I dislike them all. I just couldn't stand how stupid and annoying these supposed "characters" can get.

While I enjoy the creativity, chuckle-worthy humor and a few one-timers, The Problem Solverz is still a show no one will find greatness in. All we got is the neon-tastic and eyesore-induced quality that is really ugly and annoying, just like the characters who are also ugly and annoying. That also goes for the writing too which is also ugly and annoying. While I don't find it terrible, I definitely won't call this good because this show is rather unsatisfactory (22%). While we got a few episodes that were decent enough to pull the rating higher, some stupid and ugly ass rejects that order. Wow, can you see so far? One bad Nickelodeon cartoon and one bad Cartoon Network cartoon. Honestly, Nickelodeon, my favorite network, beats Cartoon Network with its show that won't stop using that awful formula that won't execute well to a super crazy acid trip where it's ugly and annoying. That's not all Nickelodeon have that's bad because one kid with crippling depression makes it all worse...
