Description
Yeah...you read the title of this scorecard, I'm afraid that I must discontinue the scorecard. I hated working on this scorecard so much that I don't even feel like catching up with the series. Much of the production was doomed from the start while working on this scorecard from watching the cartoon (I DID experience problems watching the episodes like how it will occasionally buffer at random points), how the rest of the series' first season got burned off within two weeks which made me really annoyed, much of the description looking really messy about 2 years later (I kept comparing this show to Gravity Falls in which I pretty much cringed while looking back), the fact that this scorecard underperformed when it was released to DeviantArt, and this scorecard overall being a giant mess that I don't want to work with again as it's my personal least-favorite scorecard I worked on. At least my Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy scorecard, another scorecard I hated, had a good amount of hype but this scorecard looked crappy from when it first came out and not many people were excited for this one. I wonder why I picked this show to review in the first place. This might be the first and only time I discontinued a canonized scorecard.Like Milo Murphy's Law, Welcome to the Wayne is a show I watched back when it first aired. Unlike Milo, I've actually seen the series premiere of Welcome to the Wayne without watching it on my TV but took a live stream to watch it instead.
It was pretty much the fastest production I had watching this cartoon, clocking at around 1.5 hours. But even if I did watch the show too early, making the scorecard was a nightmare. The wiki was brand new at the time where I had trouble trying to find the screenshots for my scorecard. This made me frustrated and decided to move on, not hoping to waste any more time. As for the chapters, they only had the thumbnails for Chapters 1-3, but not 4-6! Oh, and the latest 2 episodes just aired and no screenshots have been released yet. This made me hate doing the scorecard altogether and next time, I'll wait for the wiki to release more screenshots for me to use for this scorecard because I wanted to share my opinions on a cartoon on a deviation!
But then on August 4, 2017, help was solved by one of my friends, , uploaded the screenshots of the other Welcome to the Wayne episodes to the wiki. I knew this because he reminded me that he did that deed and it's all up-to-date now. I want to say thank you for doing that, as this is one of the more generous things you've done. I'll as well give you some points for doing that. But even with that, I still don't like making this scorecard because the chapter thumbnails are missing, I didn't know that Welcome to the Wayne had no title cards and looking for a good screenshot to cover the episode is quite an issue.
But seriously, with the terrible condition of making the Welcome to the Wayne scorecard, this is looking like an ample show (74%). There's only 1 divine episode, but who knows what the future has in stores for Wayne?
Onto the writing:
Welcome to the Wayne did its best to try and not be like that cartoon and instead, get inspiration from it. Just like how OK K.O! Let's Be Heroes did that technique of being inspired by another popular cartoon. Anyways onto the actual writing itself, which I can say it's hopeful. It can be creative sometimes and we also got the greatly executed chase scenes. Not only that, but the premises have good potential that triggers engaging stories. The settings are also pleasant as well since they're imaginative and felt creative as well. The main problem I have with the writing is the humor, which is hit or miss sometimes. It mostly comes from Olly Timbers who makes some unfunny puns and not only that, but even the antagonists make a canny joke as well. Mediocre humor, but the rest is still good.
The animation looks pretty good though:
Yes! Some quality animation that is actually great this time! What makes the quality work so fine are the awesome effects and lighting. Plus, we got the vibrant and magical animation that makes Welcome to the Wayne look like a big-budget action movie. Plus, realism is added into the backgrounds as well, as when they move, the effects used for the moving backgrounds are realistic that actually blends well with the characters. However, it's not all that great, because the character designs and animation can get to me. The noses and the same old small pupils and big eyes trend is used in this cartoon as well, making it a little similar to Sanjay and Craig and Regular Show's animation. Plus, their noses are also distracting and worst of all, the puppet-ish character animation that makes Welcome to the Wayne look like it was animated in Flash. This type of character animation was also used in The Problem Solverz and Rick and Morty as well. Still, the character designs are distracting, but the rest is cool and awesome.
This appears to be some good looking animation, right? The characters are more unoriginal than the writing and quality:
They still work. I especially like the antagonists in this show since they got a good purpose and a serious touch to them. The only character I didn't like was Olly Timbers since sometimes he can be an annoying comic relief but whatever, he's kind of enjoyable. Another thing to add to the cons of the characters is that Saraline Timbers would sometimes ditch Ansi and Olly for her own stuff. Since this is a brand new show, the paragraph for the characters will be short so that in the future, I could add more info about them. But so far, they're pretty likable characters.
Welcome to the Wayne aims mostly for the awesome and serious tone and solid characters while also incorporating some flaws from the said show and the humor becoming mediocre. If this is what Nickelodeon is up to, I hope they make more cartoons like this instead of generic content like Bunsen and The Loud House. Seriously, they need to stop with that, but only just simmer it down where I can begin to enjoy it instead of forgetting it.

Your Sym-Bionic Titan scorecard is imo, the worst looking scorecard you've done. This one was discontinued due to lack of motive to watch the show as well as you thinking your review was shitty. Your SBT scorecard feels oddly empty compared to your other ones. Your Ed, Edd, n' Eddy scorecard only looked ugly because the title cards look ugly...and the title cards bunched up into a scorecard feels like a little blob. I recommend you use contrast to change the tone of the images so they wouldn't look like a blob.

Saying WttW is a rip-off of Gravity Falls is like saying Star Wars is a ripoff of old Samurai movies: yes there is some obvious inspiration drawn, but enough creativity is employed to make it unique. Besides, pretty much every show is influenced by other shows the creators have seen, because nobody lives in a bubble.
With that lecture out of the way, let me just say that I love this show.

Well, technically, with the screenshots and the wiki not being in time to upload the screenshots, then yeah.
