Colored version of [link]My rendition of a scene from his Sonic fic Blood Pact:
Doubling over from the blow, Sally crumpled to the ground, short on breath and arms wrapped around her stomach. Kneeling over the fallen princess, Sonic’s grin finally faded. Seeing her like that...so vulnerable...it almost made him want to apologize for his charade. In truth, the squirrel’s words had affected him more than he dared to admit. Sonic knew it was fully in the Order’s capability to do something like what the princess had spoken of. More importantly, her voice...there had been a sincerity in it deeper than any other Sonic could remember, even more than when Lilith had told him how much she cared for him when they were younger. “But it’s not true,” he had told himself. “It couldn’t possibly be true.”

You know, I'd like to see something like this, but without Sonic in the shot. Just Sally, kneeling to the ground. Same position as what is displayed here.
Only her arms aren't wrapped around her stomach. Instead she grasps her head, wincing with tears streaming down her cheeks.
Trying to block out poisonous thoughts...demonic words...

*blackened senses the danger sallys in, sees who it is, and instantly, his agner completely consumes him*
*at the sight of the fight*
Sonic: sally, i, im sorry, i couldnt.
Sally: ive, ive already given up on hope sonic, kill me...
Blackened: *voice echoing around the cave* no....... *the ground splits open, and out rises a colum of burning magma, that falls, revealing a completely red blackened, who spreads his wings, and reveals his eyes, which have turned to fire*
Sonic: oh my god, what is going on?
Sally: you, youve done it now...
Blackened: ssssssonic..... i will ssssee to it thhhhat your deathhhhh isssss ssslow and paaaainful..... *his claws come out, and catch fire*
Sonic: blackened, please, i didnt
Blackened: your attemptsssss at redemption may work on othhhherssss, but me, i, fffeel no remorssssse. *quickly teleports over to sonic, then cuts him across the chest, then drives one of his claws through sonics right arm, then his other claws through his lefy arm, ensuring no escape, sonic, screaming in pain, kicks, but it does not phase blackened, the just wrenches his claws deeper and deeper through sonics arms*
Blackened: i shall now end your pain. *takes one claw, and slits sonics throat, then lets out a roar that came from the deepest pit in hell* MAY ALL THOSE FEEBLE TO ME DIE!

Normally, for me, adding color to some sketches takes something away from them, but you totally pulled this off. It looks even better in color. Great job!

Uh-oh, error? What'd I miss? If it's Sonic's arm color (which I know isn't canon), that was an artistic license choice, mostly because I couldn't figure out how to do the shift in fur naturally.

I also think it's interesting you colored Sonic's arms blue rather than their usual tan; it's not a complaint, as I actually think it works better for the way you draw Sonic. I also like the added bruises, particularly considering that, at this point in the story, both characters have gotten thoroughly roughed up.

Yeah, with the semi-anthro style, I couldn't make the change in color at the shoulder look natural, so I went with keeping it blue instead. And yeah, I remember there being mention of both of them having previous injuries, so I stuck those in there. ^_^

Which also explains how you can still do the change to tan when drawing Sonic with a t-shirt on: the sleeves cover his shoulders.
