Description I thought it might be interesting to show the level of detail which I work at for my bigger paintings... I have this habit of making them a little too "epic" and I often find that by cropping them down like this makes them into a better image!

out of interest, what method do you use to get your paintings onto computer? This is a totally awesome piece, but seeing the detail up close has allowed me to put my finger on exactly what it is that was bothering me about the colours in some of your images. It's not the colours themselves, but how they're lit. The lighting is a little inconsistant and overly harsh, so the shine off the texture dominates the colours themselves. Could be the fault of the wrong scanner calibration, or the wrong type of light if you're using a digital camera.

Scanner.

Cheap scanner.

Cannot afford more expensive scanner.

This scanner will have to do.

Boohoo.

Turnip glue.

>< Oh dear. Well, I'd suggest hooking yourself up with a good digital camera, a tripod, and some studio lights for paintings, but I imagine the money would continue being a problem. It'd be a good investment as soon as money appears though. Your work deserves scantily clad slaves instead of cheap scanners.

OOH!!!

When you talk of scantily clad slaves... one of the builders who is doin up our soffits is WELL fit!!!

I like to stare at him outta the window... wish it was Summer so I could see him shirtless tho...

And about the camera...

... I think i'll wait UNTIL the money appears and THEN go buy one...

Is that a chameleon? As they always hide among plants, fruits etc to catch their prey like they're made of thin air... This one makes me feel like I never able to wake up from a dream...
