Lauren Laverne is a woman I have tremendous respect for. If you've never heard of her, she presents BBC2's culture show, a radio show on Xfm and (not quite as impressive) had a band called Kernicke (but the main point to add is that she when to quit it). They did some good stuff tho... and I liked her vocals on Mint Royale's "Don't Falter".Anyway, she seems lovely.
Do tell me if you know what's goin on here. I'm afraid that it's a little unclear.

The dress is more saturated, the hair less so... I fear these aint as popular as my other stuff tho cos they don't appear to be attractin as many comments... i think i'll go back to the acrylics soon...

She seem to be listening to headphones while in a jail cell.
I like this piece. It's not as good as your last (Russell something or other?) which I thought was fantastic and meant to comment on. I really like the scratchy, blotchy linework in these last two and your color palette is always on point.
I'm not familiar with Lauren so its hard to comment on the likeness. She seems to be very skinny and bony here, is that how she is for real?

Yeh, pretty much... but this is a slight characterisation or her.
And thanks, that's exactly what's going on! She's meant to be like a character in the musical/film Chicago.
