I decided against adding the text on here, as it would breach copyright... basically this is the first pic in a series which shows Varjak basically doin some crazy Dragon-Ball-Z style power-up (well, not quite, it's a little more tastefully done, but still, you can't help but draw lines of comparison). It's in two shades of grey because the illustrations that are already in the book use this effect... and I thought it only fair to let myself do it too!Indian ink and pooter did the flat grey colouring.

I've been using similar (but more congested) swirly lines in my newest prints. I get very lost in the drawing of them. It's like a labyrinth of space for the pencil to follow.
This would work very well as a screen print.

Suddenly, clouds move faster on Varjak's face... Like there's a roadrunner swifts pass him by. I wonder if Varjak's on a bullet train or any fast cars like a Veyron, 'coz the clouds are like his reflections on the window
