<3 Your work is totally awsome Ant
It's so refreshing to see someone still specialising in a traditional medium too. Seeing your stuff has made me realise how blindly used to photoshop & painter colour jobs I've become. The textures work so nicely for the overall look.

Thankyou...
I just wish i had the undo button, selective/replace colour and didn't have to mix all the darn paints by hand. Takes about twice the time!
When Felix Bennet invents the "brain paintbrush" i'll be the first buyer!!!

lol! I can't abide colouring traditionally for that exact reason >< I actually find myself reaching for the undo button. At least you've got photoshop at the end of the line though There's no end to the tweaks you could apply.

Yeh, but i'm normally bored and impatient by that stage: If the scan goes badly and the colours change, i'll normally be in such a bad mood I either leave it be or make it worse! ^_^
Anyway, i don't tend work in goache anymore: I think the whole point of trying to aim for a flat colour area, when it would take a few clicks on Photoshop, is stupid!
Poot, poot, pooters! Grrr!

Yeah, that's true. Specially when the intended medium is the printed page instead of the gallery. It's the texture in your work that really marks it out though! So many people strive to add texture in on computer and it very rarely works.

John was always very good at texture. I always found it funny the way he scanned in the most minging fluff ridden and scrappy bit of paper with a few ink splashes on it and turned it into a crazy sci-fi masterpiece! I know what you mean though, many people tend to over-do it.
Ta for compliment.
