This is a fantastic concept, I once had a classmate who was autistic, he got bullied alot by the guys in my class. It was really sad. How long (or quick) did it take you to do this?

Erm... not sure I can remember exactly for this one... I definately got all the work (brainstorming, thumbnails, final roughs and painting) done within one day... by looking at it i'd say the painting took me about 2 hours (ish) to do...

So beautiful, in style and concept. Even if it was just a quicky render.

It's not because you're stupid it's because I did it really quickly and didn't really care about what I was doing when I was doing it!

you're going to the point of subject strightest way you can choose. For illustrator it is the best path.

Your english is infinitely better than my polish!!! I only know moderate French and a tiny tiny bit of German, Japanese and Latin.
I can usually understand you, yes. ^___^

My friend's housemate has autism. He grabbed the steering wheel once to show him how he thought he should be driving. Tough situation when my friend knows this guy can't help it.
I adore the skintones vs. the blush you paint. Gorgeous. P.S. did you get hold of the paints you wanted?

Yeh, I could get them in Southampton after all, but for some reason they were all slightly mangled...
Finally got to give Mac and Sina's house their biscuits... Jade had to wake up though to answer the door (oops!). Did Sam like the biscuits?

HAHAaa! Oh god, I'd forgotten about that! Nuu, she hasn't been over yet. Though we have a few biscuits left, so maybe if she comes in the next week or so ... or I shall eat them all and she shall have nun.

Yeah, I use the Nun-launcher (we keep it in the shed - I don't think you saw our shed) to throw her at Abbie when she comes over. One day she'll get used to it, and I'll have to launch something else. I might start collecting priests ...

What else are priests and nuns for? They are for launching! How else would one see up their habits?

Wait for the Christmas sales! Nobody wants religion post-Christmas, so you can be sure they'll go down in price! Look forward to it!

This is good, I like the concept. Perhaps you can add more reflective objects or mirrors to express the 'Me!Me!Me!' personalities in autism. Afterall, an autistic child's mindset is pretty confined to him/herself.

This is again my fault for not putting it up there but I think you need to read the article... the mirror thing is referring to something else.
Autistic kids are not necessarily obsessed with themselves, although they can seem to be due to not understanding other peoples feelings/ picking up on social cues. They can also be facinated by stimuli that a normal person would take no notice of e.g. in-animate objects.

Once again..I think you really have a very nice painterly direction going. I was looking through your gallery over again...and am just in love with your Geisha pieces......something about the line quality that you combinet with the painting that I really enjoy. Also, do you shoot references of people for your paintigs?...if not..you really should, it doesn't matter whether you abstract them or not...it is a good idea to use guidelines....the masters did it....hahaha. I'm proud to have an editorial hard working buddy up here....LOL....rocking on for editorial artists w00t w00t. Did you go to an art school? Here are some artists you should studdy up to strenghten your style even more: Egon Schiele, Heinrich Kley, Japanese Ukiyo-e prints, Yuko Shimizu, Howard Pyle, N.C. Wyath, Harvey Dunn, Winslow Homer, Winsor Mc Cay. Hope the list helps...lol....I constantly bug my students about being knowladgable of the great masters and contemporary painters....hehehe....now I'm bugging you too...lol..great work...keep it up. (sorry for the huuuuge response)..lol

No, no, i'm glad and... flattered by the huge response.
No, I don't draw from photos or life any more...
...not sure about photos... they often make me tighten up my drawing style too much which i'm trying to get away from at the mo. However, I would like to start going to the life drawing classes in my area but can't really afford the time/ money at the mo. I draw bits of my own body in the mirror sometimes if i'm stuck.
Yes I did BA Illustration at University College Falmouth in sunny Cornwall. It's a really good place.
Yeh, i've heard of most of the peps you mention... and the ones I haven't heard of (Howard Pyle, N.C. Wyath, Harvey Dunn, Winslow Homer) I correctly assumed to be all American; for some reason, i've found UK educational establishments tend to skip over most American artists, the exceptions being the real contemporaries. I s'pose it's cos we've got many similar historical painters over here who paint more relatable subject matter... our cornfields ain't often bathed in golden sunlight this side of the puddle, no siree.
