Description
Ok here it is, my planet tutorial. Its not really the way i make my planets. But this is also a very simple way to make a nice planet in less than 10 minutes, i hope it helps some of you. If there are any questions no problem just ask.Comments and favs are welcome, view at FULL view
EDIT
I think the most mistakes (grammar ...) are changed: Thx to ~SatyrsFaction give him some credit

fantastic tutorial! Β hopefully someday I'll get a chance to use it. Β I love the clarity of it, the images with the descriptions , as well as the stars dotting the entire background Β ^_^
I'm a sucker for space things...

OHHH I always thought people had some kind of amazing program to do this. I always just made planets by drawing them on GIMP LOL AND they looked so cartoonish. Thanks a lot ^^^

how do I get the lens flare? I know where to find it (filter>render>lens flare> 50 mm Prime), but it doesn't come out right because of the filters put on the planter. is there a way to rasterize the layer styles or something so they don't interfere?

I just don't know how you "Change Fill to 0%" The only things I can do are to fade it to 1% or set the opacity to 1% and it doesn't work for either of those.

Fantastic tutorial, just what the doctor ordered!
... Well, maybe not, because it would be rather odd if a doctor ever ordered someone to get a planet tutorial for their health, but NONE THE LESS, good job

hey man thanks! very nice tutorial!!!
ummm ... the only thing is that I have to use more glow than the amount you say ... like for inner glow it says size: 20 ... I had to use like 140 ... but it is still a very good tutorial

I think the planets look extremely realistic, very simple yet very cool.
You get bonus points for making your tutorial so original: the background is very spacey ( ) and it's obvious you took into consideration how the readers would see this tutorial. Some tutorials are very sloppy, all over the place, but yours is very pleasing to the eye and grabs attention.
Really great job, and thank you for contributing to dA and for being considerate and sharing tips to others. Very appreciated.

man i must be really dumb....i cant get the glow to look right...what do you mean hold the selection? and when i spherize it dont round it as much as yours. And do you mean the lighting layer goes above or below? and whats the fill set to after you adjust the blending options?
