Yes, I'm well aware it's winter XP ...This one was a birthday gift for a friend. I wanted to do something colourful and I really liked this bird and have been wanting to paint it for a while
Painting is fun for me, I find working in colour relaxing. I'm still getting a hang of the medium and mixing my very limited colour palette but it's fun to see what I come up with ... mostly by accident ^^
I plan to upgrade my collection with a few more watercolour tubes and water soluble pencils because I feel like they would mix well together and give some pretty cool effects. I also need to learn the use of all of those different brushes .. cause I'm only using 2 of them
Done with Winsor and Newton watercolours, ink pen on Herlitz Watercolour paper

So cute! I like how it's stylized and kind of similar to things I've seen before but at the same time it is definitely unique to you. The plants are very beautiful and the colours go really well with the bird. Lastly I think you did a great job making it look not too busy even though there are a bunch of leaves and flowers and many little brush strokes; the lighter parts help with that, without looking like you just didn't want to fill in the whole thing.

I really love how you painted it! The way you incorporated texture into it, the bird, is astonishing! I like the colors you used, they really give the feeling of springtime! The entire work is amazing!

If you really are an absolute beginner (I've read the descriptions in your other paintings ), well, kudos!
I have to say that the colors, especially the bird, reminds me of Vincent.
Take it as a huge compliment for he's one of my all time favourite.
The only critique I might do is that I personally would have liked a little more definition in the vegetal department. But it's personal taste.

Painting wise I really am a beginner but I'm pretty good with pencils and I also like taking photographs and even though not really related to each other I used my knowledge of both to help with the paintings
