Yes, they can! They rarely actually consume humans, only kill them for their soul. There are in fact 'good' Erebus that don't eat people. And if raised by a human, they won't have any of the nasty traits of the usual Erebus, so yeha they can be domesticated! They're quite intelligent, so they would be more of a companion than a pet.
