"Huppie, look! The snow nearly touches my feet!" Ace exclaimed, he didn't often see snow, it was usually too cold for him, but for the sake of what had described to him as 'a grand endurance adventure', he'd agreed to go along for this trek, but such a trek required a bit of training first, so that's just what he was out doing. Ati seemed to be enjoying the ride at least, and so Ace knew she'd fare well in the trial, Krka too seemed at peace with her environment.
"Yeah, you'd better not fall in Jeep-Nose." Came Flower's deep-voiced response, but the words were lost on Ace who'd just remembered something, a YouTube video he'd seen some time back and a grin crept over his face. With practised ease, Ace pulled his legs up and smoothly stood up on Ati's back. The ice horse nickered and shuffled to the side until a quiet word from Ace soothed her again and she stood still, she wasn't used to her rider doing such things, usually Ace would perform such feats on Jelly or another in he herd.
"Jeep-Nose, be careful." Flower warned,
"Huppie, Check this out!" Ace announced, crossing his arms over his chest and leaping off Ati's back, it took no less than a moment before his boots hit and surpassed the snow, but instead of hitting the ground like he expected, instead he kept going until his feet finally met something solid and he stopped. Surprised, Ace paused for a moment, blinking as he only saw white, realising that he was almost entirely buried in the sand.
"Ace!" He heard Flower call and in response the young man shook his head, he could feel the breeze on his hair and he could drag in a breath.
"I'm okay!" Ace responded, giggling to himself, that was, until he realised how cold it was surrounded by all this snow, just as he was about to begin struggling out, he felt warm breath on his hair as Ati investigated the strange blue grass that had become of her rider.

Looks like Ace and Flower went out on a little winter training when Ace decided he wanted to test how deep the snow was. Only he didn't realise just how close he was to a drop-off hidden in the snow, so, well, you can see where that landed him.
At least they both got some training done

Ace belongs to Flower while Flower belongs to Ace. Krka belongs to Flower but actually to Okami-Haru
