Description
those who have an issue where characters are white (no texture) or those who can not run the software PMX Editor or PMD Editor, they can view this tutorial.if the text of the tutorial is too small, I put it in the description
Under the title, the first screenshot :
When you download a character in the format PMD or PMX and you put it in the software MMD, you notice he is white ?
second screenshot :
This is normal !
It's just because you selected a single file (the file of the character that is either in the format PMD or in the format PMX)
Third screenshot :
Select all files (even text file) and move them to the MMD software
[First, remove the white character ! XD]
Fourth screenshot :
and here we go !
Last screenshot :
and for the background, do it the same way ! ^^

I dont know if this helps. Get the swiftshader dll pending of os get the 32 bit or, 64 bit. put the dll into the main folder of, pmd/ pmx editor and, it will now run.
To extra on no textures be sure to search its not tga or, dds otherwise you need a program like gimp to find and, convert to png for latest mmd/ mmm so that it will now show characters textures.

This didn't really help... It just throws the textures in the background and the white areas are still white...

Get the swift shader dll put the dll into pmd pmx editor put the program up. If textures are tga , dds, or hidden use a program like gimp to find and, convert to png for lattest mmd v7-9 to beable to see textures. Swift shader will allow you to load the editors regardless of your graphics card and, ram. Just put the right dll 32 or, 64 bit in the editor main folder.
If you still have issues let me know ill try to help you out.

I think I was able to fix it, but thanks anyways haha! I don't even remember writing this. I'm just having problems with making functional models now though haha

Lol no problem . If you need help fixing them I can help do physics, bone weighting. Cant do facial cause editors freeze up and creash on my xomputer. tho Im on vista and, useing the shader dll i mentioned. Its the only way the editors even work on this os. even tho im on a 64 bit ultimate. >.<
If youd ever need help with models Id be happy to try fix them. im actually fixing advent children cloud and, dissidia cloud models X3 tho side things bones are a real pain. But, way easier to fix than tails. with micro furr physics XD .

Oh that's fine. My main problems is the hair and clothes. They just spazz out all the time when I move the model into mmd. I still need to fix some textures and add the last couple of details and such first. I'm such a noob at this, but I'm getting better haha.
And that's super cool dude. Maybe when I have my model with her final textures I can send her too you and you can help me fix her glitchiness hahaΒ

If you still have issues let me know ill try to help you out. Some version of computers dont read certain textures well. So maybe convert the textures to bmp for best results. Converts all png, tga, dds to bmp and, in the editor with swift shader rename all the names ending to .bmp. this should fix your issues. :3

Another problem (that happened to me pretty often) is that
the textures had Japanese names and my computer couldn't read them,
so I simply changed the names of the textures and put the same names on the model in PMXe.
There are a lot of possibilities why the model can appear white ;w;

That wont always work. Pending on graphic cards etc. not all computers can handle rendering with png images. Or, tga/ dds cause since there more hidden protected . Models useing those formates from mmd v5 - 9 series can cause, issues.
Wich is why I try to recommand using swift shader dll. It helps run editors on any computer regardless of ram and, graphics card. The best formate would have to be bmp. Cause, its simple and, with special effects it tends to act up less.Β Tho MMM dont have that issues cause, newer engine.Β

lol my bad well when see people post things from this year. Gotta help XD but, surprizingly tho no one ever mentions about, swift shader. It greatly helps making effects look much better than, just alone.
Β Its hard to explain XD but, you should deffiantly try out mmm v2 or v1.2 . It now supports kinnect, oculas rift, and many new features sadly mmd just cant do. while mmm is getting a newΒ engine. Not bullet physics engine. so besides its physics are much better.
If you do a mmd v9.27 compaire to it. Youd be surprized hardly anyone uses it. It even has anti aliasing, more shading tool, allows mp3 imports and move it to whereever freely. The new beta has some pretty cool features Im surprised no one has bothered to use yet. X3
Its getting some actual programs if your familiar with dolphion wii emulator hd stuff. like this ; www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFj58Xβ¦
but, not using adult shaders or, anthing just gotta mess around, with its config files a little ^.^
