How do you Create a material for a slider? I want to make new face slider to change the textures on the face.
I keep trying things like this and it doesn't quite do it...

for what I know, you can't change the textures with a slider but in that case what I would do is duplicate the material of the face with the second texture and make it either transparent or resize it to almost nothing, and with the slider change the opacity and size of the second material to the size of the original and transform it as the initial state of the second material
I recommend you to resize using numeric values instead of using the default buttons

Thank you, I've been looking forever on how to do this. How do you make something only appear with morph be appear in morph. I'm assuming you make it disappear in materials then add in uv morph to appear but not sure

do you mean make something transparent appear?

Yes exactly. Making am object transparent to start with then using morph to re-appear.
Let's say for example she starts off with a jeans, you use slider and a dress appears and jeans disappear.
Or a guitar appearing with sliders.
You dont know how happy you've made me already with this tutorial. I've been changing all my pmd's to pmx, because I've had a hell of a time with boots and jackets getting pulled out of their bodies. I've been looking for this answer for months.

first you'll have to follow this tutorial to make the jeans dissapear and then, considering that your model's dress is already invisible, you follow the steps in this tutorial until the 7th picture and when you open that tab youll use this configuration p-o-l-l-o.deviantart.com/art/P…
hope this helps(;

thank you for your response, you taught me this with the tutorial I asked you in. No, the dress is not invisible yet, I'm trying to work that put out. I knew how to do it with pmd but haven't worked with pmx til now. I sure it should be similar, and I'll figure it out when I get more than 5 minutes spare time to work on my own models.

You're welcome and I'll like to see your model when it's done
The difference between this way and pmd's way is that with pmx you're changing each parts transparency intead of changing the sizes but the way you manage the sliders is pretty much the same

yes you an, and it's pretty easy btw
everyhing you learn from any expressions tutorial would be useful
first you need the tear, blush mesh and everything
you'll add that to your model and with an expression you can make it appear like i this tutorial or put it inside your model's head and make it move

you need the PMX plug in, some newer versions of PMD ( if their in English ) don't have it. Try downloading the Japanese PMD it should come with PMX
