Description
So lately I've been seeing a few fans who do well you know, the things they do, go out and try to claim that the things people call them out aren't actually true. Now I don't like to call out people directly so let's just use Thomas as an example of what i'm talking about. See Thomas just made a post about how he doesn't actually hate things that are light hearted. Now if he doesn't actually hate light hearted things then that's technically a good things. However in the past he's made posts that constantly hate on things that are less serious and tries to make people who do enjoy light hearted things as idiots. Now because of this, would you get the idea that Thomas really does hate light hearted things? well if he spends so much time complaining about it then yeah you probably would. See people are more likely to make assumptions about you based off the stuff you do, rather than the things you actually say. Like I do enjoy the Adventure games, but I do have a lot of problems with them, so imagine if I consistently made posts about issues I have and included stuff like "oh the people who like this are just blinded by nostalgia", would that give people the wrong idea that I actually hate the Adventure games? Yes it would because I'm spending so much time criticizing it and making out the people who think differently to be inferior than me. Like there's nothing wrong with criticizing something because you want to see said thing do better, but if you keep on harping about it over and over again, then it's going to look less like you're criticizing something because you love it, and more like you're bashing something because you hate it, if even the former is the reality. I mean I get that sometimes we'll have to say something more than once to get the message across, but that doesn't mean you need to get more and more aggressive every time you say it.Related content
