So remember when Sonic Boom was doing pretty good? getting close or over a million views despite a early timeslot? Well sadly it seems that success has finally run out. If you've seen the ratings you can see that the show's barely getting over 100k views ever since Cartoon Network switched the premiers to Boomerang, and that's with a 6pm timeslot. But why? why is the show now starting to drop hard in the ratings. I've seen a lot of fans claim that nobody likes the show anymore so that's why it's not doing so well anymore. While that's not a terrible assumption I think I have one that may be a bit closer to the real reason, Cartoon Network's the one to blame not the show's own quality. See they're in charge of advertising the show and giving the show it's timeslots, but they've obviously done a terrible job at it. If you think the reason they're doing this is because they don't give a shit about the show, then you're absolutely correct, but thing if you noticed you can see that CN doesn't actually care about any of their third party shows anymore, You know besides that one show that everyone hates. It's not a problem that's exclusive to boom but almost any other show that wasn't made by them, even the third party shows that gave them great sucess in the past they now treat like shit. Take Transformers for example, there were a ton of different TF shows on the network including one that CN helped produce themselves, so how are they treating the newest show Robots in Diguise? They air it at 6:30am with no advertisments. This was a problem when the show started as well, but I think the reason it did well back then was because Sega did a good enough job promoting the show so at least the fans knew about it. But now even they haven't really been talking about but I don't think it's entirely their fault. Ok this parts more of a rumor so it may or may not be true, but apparently according to some people who work for Sega, they said that the company didn't even know the second season premired because CN didn't tell them. When the company who helped made the show doesn't even get awared that the network premiered their work, you know you've chosed the wrong channel to air your show on. That's why I think Sega should have chose Disney XD as the network to air their show on. Why Disney XD? well first let me tell you why I don't want it on aired on other kids networks. I don't want it on Nick cause while they do treat third party shows a little bit better, they usally just dump them on their less popular network Nicktoons after a while. That and a lot of their advertising is just cringeworthy so they'll probably add a lot of fart sounds in the Boom commericals, And sure Disney XD's ads can be a little cheesy as well they're nowhere near as dumb as Nick's ads. I also don't think it should of aired on Discovery Family either cause while they do treat their third party shows with some respect, but like Boomerang the channel itself isn't included in a lot of tv packages so it'd be in the same situation the show's in now, like their most popular show is MLP and even that I don't think even reaches 500k views anymore. I think the show would have done so much better on Disney XD cause they pretty much treat their third party shows with just as much respect they give to their own shows, So it would probably have good advertising and timeslots. Plus if they aired the show on this channel then it might not only get the same views from Sonic fans, but kids might actually watch it as well, you know the people this show was targeted at. If in any possible chance the show is lucky enough to get a third season then I wish Sega would tell Cartoon Network to fuck off and move their show on to Disney's channel. I hear that Pokemon's going to move to Disney XD starting with the Sun and Moon anime, so I think it's possible for Boom to move over to that network as well.
