If it wasn't obvious enough, the whole idea around this form was based on the Devil Trigger from Devil May Cry, where the main character transforms into a more monstrous form where his attack damage is doubled and is able to slowly regain health, but only for a brief amount of time.

Ever since the beginning, I wanted this DT like form to have a more knight like appearance, like Drew's "Dragon Form" from the cancelled game Scalebound, where he is coated in armor made of scales shaped like that of a knight and even had a red cape.

With that in mind, I figured, instead of the wings folding into a trenchcoat like Dante's Devil Trigger, I decided the wings to fold into a cape.

This was the original design I created years ago: www.deviantart.com/jakeburner/… I was satisfied with this design at first, but over time I came to realize that it looked more reptilian and even demonic than actually knight like.

And it wasn't until I discovered the Dragon Knight from DOTA 2, and his many skins did I finally have the inspiration I needed to create this new design.
