Nice color and style to this piece. Did you try a bit more drop shadow to the text, just so it stands out a little more? And I do enjoy the dramatic hair, but it distracts a tad from his praying face.

THANKS soo much..Ill try that next time with the lettering...and..there's nothing I can do about the hair..Ive been drawing it like that for 20 some years..I dont think Jake would take kindly to getting a hair cut..

Yes, I just visited your portfolio, and see why his hair looks that way. Fantastic work by the way - makes me really happy when I see Christian artists out there who do such quality work. Is Jake part of a cartoon or graphic novel series? This looks like something I'd really enjoy reading. Kind of reminds me a bit of Mark Crilley's work.

Well, I think the thing that got me with Mark Crilley was the way he combined his illustration with his Akiko books. [link]
THe illustration is so fun in appearance, and accents the story so much, that it reminds me a lot of what you've got going on here. And if you get a chance, I just finished a children's book on the 10 commandments. It's available as a free download at [link]

Just had a chance to look thru a few of the front pages..I do like his art style...I've got some time tomorrow to do nothing..
My story will be a bit more...pg-13ish..I think..not soo much for younger children, but I think it will be a good read when its done..even if its just ME reading it..OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again..
AND..I did have a look at your book..and I commented on your journal..but Ill say again..I LIKED IT ALOT!
