Description
Xenogears tribute painting featuring the mysterious and menacing, Grahf. One of my absolute favorite characters. I really wanted this piece to be almost a complete reversal of the painting I did of Fei. Whereas Fei is unsure, and overshadowed by the power of his gear (and his own potential), Grahf is the complete opposite – a figure that fully embraces the power he has attained and will utilize any means to see his ultimate goal realized.
Original 12”x18” oil painting. Whew! That only took, what, like 4 years to finally get around to?

Wow. I wouldn't normally associate beauty with Grahf, but this is a really beautiful composition, particularly in its symmetry. I mean, menacing, powerful, dark, all that too, but those weren't what struck me first.

I was absolutely delighted to find such awesome fanart of Xenogears, perhaps one of the greatest RPGs of the bygone era. I love everything you have done with this. The pose, the Zohar, the flow of lava. It really is a display of power, and a very fine one at that. Great job!
