Description
Xenogears tribute painting featuring the mysterious and menacing, Grahf. One of my absolute favorite characters. I really wanted this piece to be almost a complete reversal of the painting I did of Fei. Whereas Fei is unsure, and overshadowed by the power of his gear (and his own potential), Grahf is the complete opposite – a figure that fully embraces the power he has attained and will utilize any means to see his ultimate goal realized.
Original 12”x18” oil painting. Whew! That only took, what, like 4 years to finally get around to?

I've been waiting ages for your next Xenogears piece. And it's Grahf of all characters...I honestly thought you'd cycle through all the playable characters first and was looking forward to Billy. But this is even better, I love how this is more or less what I pictured the final showdown between him and Fei to look like, when Grahf sought redemption. Excellent work.

I really hope Square gets around to HD remastering this. Absolutely love this game, but there are some things that they could definitely fix in the remastering process.
On the tasty art, you've done an amazing job of capturing this particular moment of Grahf.

Thank you very much! Yeah, sadly I don't ever see them putting the effort into doing a remaster - especially if it meant actually finishing the second disc (which is what we all want). They're better off milking Final Fantasy for all its worth hahaha.

Thanks a lot! It's definitely a fun challenge trying to figure out how best to represent these characters. The characters are so deep and complex that it can be difficult to pin down all the symbolism and personality into a single image!
