Description
A book cover wrap-around for a fantasy novel. The image will eventually have title, author and other text added. The cover is the right-hand side of the image. This image is not available to buy as it's copyrighted by the client.All painted from scratch in photoshop. I used the usual vanishing point tool to add perspective lines, which were used as guides to draw over. I created painted textures like bricks, roofing etc and skewed them into perspective where necessary.
Demons arrive through a wormhole to devour the medieval town below..!

You sell images for people to use as they please or just images that they hang on the wall in their homes? How much would "book cover wrap-around" go for and how much would "the icis city" Go for? I'm sure I misspelled that one.

I do sell my images to be used as people wish, however 'book cover wraparound' was already created for a client unfortunately. Not sure which one you meant by 'the icis city' though. I charge £50 to £100 for the images. I am going to check that the descriptions under each image state whether they are available or not. I will update the information now on each image so it is clear which ones are available. Thanks sandy! Doing it now.

I was looking for something similar to this, but where instead of demons they be the remnants of angels, but they look more ragged and worn. I wondered if you would commission something similar to this for me. In my novel the world has been ravaged and the earth is like a desert. If you're interested I can give you more information if you'd like.

Thanks Theo - actually no - I dont use any 3D software. I used the vanishing point tool in photoshop to get the grid planes up and pasted shapes into them. A very handy way of getting perfect perspective.

Nicely done. Your wall looks a big short and there is only one tower. In a small town you're more likely to see wooden palisades then stone walls, bigger wealthier towns would build them of stone. That said stone walls are normally taller and have more towers. That said, I'm not an expert.

It's so mystical and frightening! I love it! You did a good job and dilluting the colors to fit the cloud and weather patterns. I could tell, this is going to become an awesome book!
